NCT ID: NCT02261727 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Theophylline and Steroids in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Study

TASCS
Start date: June 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this multi-centre, double blind, randomised, controlled trial (DBRCT) is to assess the effect of low dose theophylline, singly and in combination with low dose oral prednisone, on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) exacerbations, quality of life and secondary clinical outcomes compared with usual therapy and placebo over 48 weeks of treatment. 1670 symptomatic patients with COPD will be recruited in China for comparison of low dose theophylline versus placebo and low dose theophylline + low dose prednisone The primary end-point for this study is the annualised COPD exacerbation rate between the treatment groups. Secondary outcomes included time to first severe exacerbation requiring hospitalisation or death, health status, and pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry.

NCT ID: NCT02260986 Completed - Atopic Dermatitis Clinical Trials

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Long-term Safety of Dupilumab (REGN668/SAR231893) in Adult Participants With Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis

CHRONOS
Start date: September 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study was to demonstrate the efficacy of Dupilumab administered concomitantly with topical corticosteroid (TCS) through Week 16 in adult participants with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) compared to placebo administered concomitantly with TCS.

NCT ID: NCT02259582 Completed - Clinical trials for Nonsquamous Nonsmall Cell Neoplasm of Lung

A Study of Carboplatin, Pemetrexed Plus Placebo vs Carboplatin, Pemetrexed Plus 1 or 2 Truncated Courses of Demcizumab in Subjects With Non-Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

DENALI
Start date: February 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A randomized, double-blind, 3-arm (1:1:1) study in subjects with first-line Stage IV non-squamous NSCLC. The purpose is to test the efficacy and safety of demcizumab, when given in combination with carboplatin and pemetrexed compared to placebo. The administration of carboplatin and pemetrexed is a standard treatment for patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02258646 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Long-Term Integrated Telerehabilitation of COPD Patients. A Multi-Center Trial

iTrain
Start date: October 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research project aims to conduct a three-arm multi-center randomized controlled trial (RCT) on an innovative telerehabilitation intervention for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The overall purpose of the RCT is to demonstrate whether long-term integrated telerehabilitation involving exercise training at home, telemonitoring, and education/self-management will prevent hospital readmissions, thus reducing healthcare costs, for patients with COPD, and will improve patient status and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT02258581 Terminated - Chronic Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

Long Term Follow-up Registry of Individuals Treated in A Gilead-Sponsored Trial in Individuals With Chronic Hepatitis B Infection

Start date: December 9, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study will evaluate the long term effects of hepatitis B virus (HBV) treatment on the HBV serologic changes and HBV DNA levels through Week 144. This registry will enroll only individuals who were treated in a Gilead-sponsored trial for chronic hepatitis B (CHB).

NCT ID: NCT02258542 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

A Safety Extension Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability of Benralizumab (MEDI-563) in Asthmatic Adults and Adolescents on Inhaled Corticosteroid Plus LABA

BORA
Start date: November 19, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety profile of benralizumab administration in asthma patients who have completed one of the three predecessor studies: D3250C00017, D3250C00018 or D3250C00020.

NCT ID: NCT02258165 Completed - Clinical trials for Ovarian Cancer Stage IV

Impact of Gated PET/CT in the Diagnosis of Advanced Ovarian Cancer

IMAGE
Start date: February 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will be the first prospective study enrolling consecutive patients with advanced ovarian cancer to determine the prevalence of thoracic and extra-abdominal involvement in this patient group and the relative value of gated PET and CT for diagnosing extra-abdominal involvement. This study will also answer a number of other stil unanswered questions: the impact of gating and the impact of gated PET on clinical management of patients with advanced ovarian cancer. This study also individualises patients' treatment to allow patients who may benefit most form optimal surgical cytoreduction and those who are better treated by neoadjuvant

NCT ID: NCT02257736 Active, not recruiting - Prostatic Neoplasms Clinical Trials

An Efficacy and Safety Study of Apalutamide (JNJ-56021927) in Combination With Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone Versus Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone in Participants With Chemotherapy-naive Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC)

Start date: November 26, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) of apalutamide in combination with abiraterone acetate (AA) plus prednisone or prednisolone (AAP) and AAP in participants with chemotherapy-naive (participants who did not receive any chemotherapy [treatment of cancer using drugs]) metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) (cancer of prostate gland [gland that makes fluid that aids movement of sperm]).
