Start date: March 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will compare efficacy and safety of different regimens of olodaterol administration in asthma (once daily, twice daily) with placebo in a complete cross-over design each within one of the two daily dose groups (medium or high daily dose).

NCT ID: NCT01311141 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Target Site Pharmacokinetics of Doripenem After a Single Dose of 500mg in Healthy Volunteers Dori_MD_1

Start date: August 2010
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

In the present study we will measure and compare the unbound, i.e. microbiologically active concentrations of doripenem after a single dose of 500mg in plasma, subcutaneous adipose tissue and muscle tissue and saliva of healthy volunteers. We will use the microdialysis technique, which allows for the continuous measurement of unbound drug concentrations in the interstitial space fluid. The findings of the present study will help to assess whether currently employed therapy regimens with doripenem provide effective antimicrobial concentrations in different compartments in man

NCT ID: NCT01310816 Completed - Clinical trials for Conventional Chondrosarcoma

A Safety and Efficacy Study of Patients With Metastatic or Locally Advanced (Unresectable) Chondrosarcoma

Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

IPI-926 is an inhibitor of the hedgehog pathway. IPI-926 may improve therapeutic outcomes in patients with Chondrosarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT01309763 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Safety and Tolerability of AFFITOPE AD03

MimoVax
Start date: October 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, controlled, parallel group, patient-blinded, single-center, phase I pilot study to assess tolerability and safety of repeated subcutaneous administration of a single-dose of AFFITOPE AD03 applied with or without adjuvant to patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.

NCT ID: NCT01309243 Completed - HIV-1 Infection Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of a Single Tablet Regimen of Emtricitabine/Rilpivirine/Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Compared With a Single Tablet Regimen of Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate in HIV-1 Infected, Antiretroviral Treatment-Naive Adults

Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the emtricitabine (FTC)/rilpivirine (RPV)/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) single-tablet regimen (STR) compared with the efavirenz (EFV)/FTC/TDF STR in HIV-1 infected adults who had not previously received treatment with antiretroviral medications. Participants were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive one of the study treatments. Randomization was stratified by HIV-1 RNA level (≤ 100,000 copies/mL or > 100,000 copies/mL) at screening. A treatment duration of 96 weeks was planned, with the option for subjects in FTC/RPV/TDF STR arm to receive treatment following the Week 96 visit until FTC/RPV/TDF STR is commercially available or until Gilead Sciences elects to terminate development in that country.

NCT ID: NCT01307397 Completed - Malignant Melanoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Vemurafenib in Participants With Metastatic Melanoma

Start date: March 1, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This multi-center study evaluates the safety and efficacy of vemurafenib in participants with BRAF V600 mutation-positive, surgically incurable, and unresectable Stage IIIC or IV (American Joint Committee on Cancer [AJCC]) metastatic melanoma.

NCT ID: NCT01303796 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

A Study of Oral Sapacitabine in Elderly Patients With Newly Diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia

SEAMLESS
Start date: October 1, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 3 study assesses two drug regimens as the initial treatment of patients who are at least 70 years of age and have newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for whom the doctor does not recommend the use of standard intensive treatment or the patient has decided not to receive standard intensive treatment after being fully informed about its benefits and risks by his/her doctor. The two drug regimens are sapacitabine administered in alternating cycles with decitabine or decitabine alone. The purpose of the study is to learn which drug regimen is more likely to keep AML in check as long as possible.

NCT ID: NCT01303406 Completed - Friedreich's Ataxia Clinical Trials

Patient Reported Outcomes in Friedreich's Ataxia Patients After Withdrawal From Treatment With Idebenone (PROTI)

PROTI
Start date: April 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase IIIb Double-Blind, Randomised, Placebo-Controlled Study. The aim is to further investigate the effects of idebenone in patients with Friedreich's ataxia. The objective of the PROTI study is to establish whether patients can correctly determine which treatment assignment (placebo or idebenone) they received during the randomised phase of the trial, and identify any potential changes on symptoms or activities.
