This prospective clinical trial (PRostate Imaging using Mri +/- contrast Enhancement (PRIME)) aims to assess whether biparametric MRI (bpMRI) is non-inferior to multiparametric mpMRI (mpMRI) in the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. This means that we are comparing MRI scans that requires injection of IV contrast (the current standard practice) versus MRI scans that can be performed without IV contrast in the detection of prostate cancer.
Study D9181C00001 is a Phase II, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, proof of concept study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK) and immunogenicity of MEDI3506 in adult participants with uncontrolled moderate to severe asthma on standard of care (SOC). Up to approximately 80 sites globally will participate in this study. Approximately 228 participants will be randomized to 3 treatment groups in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive MEDI3506 dose 1, MEDI3506 dose 2, or placebo.
SAR-COVID is a national, multicenter, prospective, observational longitudinal registry of consecutive patients with diagnosis of rheumatic diseases treated or not with immunomodulatory and/or immunosuppressive drugs and SARS-CoV-2 infection (asymptomatic or COVID-19). Hypothesis: Patients with rheumatic diseases who are under chronic treatment with immunomodulatory and/or immunosuppressive drugs more frequently have an asymptomatic infection, a milder COVID-19 and lower mortality than patients with rheumatic diseases without immunomodulatory and/or immunosuppressive treatments.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of relatlimab in combination with nivolumab in participants with advanced liver cancer who have never been treated with immuno-oncology therapy, after prior treatment with tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy.
This study is open to adults with borderline personality disorder. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1358894 helps to reduce symptoms in people with borderline personality disorder. Four different doses of BI 1358894 are tested in the study. Participants are put into 5 groups by chance. Participants in 4 of the 5 groups take different doses of BI 1358894. Participants in the fifth group take placebo. Participants take BI 1358894 and placebo as tablets once a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1358894 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 5 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 12 times and get about 6 phone calls. At the visits, doctors ask participants about their symptoms. The results between the BI 1358894 groups and the placebo group are then compared. The doctors also regularly check the general health of the participants.
This is a randomized, double-blind study of rilzabrutinib in participants with persistent or chronic ITP, with an average platelet count of <30,000/μL (and no single platelet count >35,000/μL) on two counts at least 5 days apart in the 14 days before treatment begins. Participants will receive rilzabrutinib or placebo 400mg twice daily. For each participant, the study will last up to 60 weeks from the start of the Screening Period to the End of Study (EOS) visit. This includes Screening (up to 4 weeks) through a 12 to 24-week Blinded Treatment Period followed by a 28-week Open-Label Period. Followed by a 4-week post dose follow-up. For adult participants, the maximum duration of the long-term extension (LTE) period will be 12 months from the date of the last adult participant to enter the LTE. For pediatric participants, the maximum duration of the LTE period will be 12 months from the date of the last pediatric participant to enter the LTE.
A prospective, open label study designed to assess the safety, performance and efficacy of thrombus removal in subjects presenting with acute ischemic stroke with the NeVa stent retrievers.
Researchers in this study want to find the optimal therapeutic dose of drug BAY1817080 for patients with long-standing cough with or without clear causes (refractory and/or unexplained chronic cough, RUCC). Study drug BAY1817080 is a new drug under development for the treatment of long-standing cough. It blocks proteins that are expressed by the airway sensory nerves which are oversensitive in patients with long-standing cough. This prevents the urge to cough. Researchers also want to learn the safety of the study drug and how well it works in reducing the cough frequency, severity and urge-to-cough. Participants in this study will receive either the study drug or placebo (a placebo looks like the test drug but does not have any medicine in it) tablets twice daily for 12 weeks. Observation for each participant will last about 18 weeks in total. Participants will be asked to wear a digital device to record the cough and to complete questionnaires every day to document the symptoms. Blood samples will be collected from the participants to monitor the safety and measure the blood level of the study drug.
