There are about 4010 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Argentina. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This trial is conducted in Europe, and North and South America. The aim of this trial is to investigate if a dietary intervention has an effect on weight when initiating insulin treatment in subjects with type 2 diabetes currently treated with oral antidiabetic drugs (OADs).
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the hypothesis that cixutumumab given in combination with cisplatin and pemetrexed is superior to cisplatin and pemetrexed as first-line therapy for patients with advanced nonsquamous non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).
The purpose of this six month study is to show that dutasteride is safe and more effective than placebo, and at least as safe and effective as finasteride in treating hair loss in men with androgenetic alopecia. Three doses of dutasteride will be investigated.
ING111762 is a 48 week, randomized, double-blind, active-controlled, multicenter, parallel group, non-inferiority study. The study will be conducted in at least 688 HIV-1 infected antiretroviral experienced, integrase-naïve subjects. Subjects will be randomized 1:1 to receive GSK1349572 50 mg once daily or raltegravir (RAL) 400 mg twice daily, each added to an investigator selected background regimen consisting of at least one fully active agent plus no more than one second single agent which may or may not be active. Antiviral activity, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and development of viral resistance will be evaluated.
Seasonal influenza is responsible for many hospitalizations and deaths each year, despite effective antiviral treatments. Some individuals have medical conditions such as heart or lung diseases that make them particularly at risk of severe influenza infections that may result in hospitalization or death. Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) is used most often to treat flu, but there are still many hospitalizations, complications, and deaths even with treatment. This study evaluated the use of combination antivirals (amantadine, oseltamivir, and ribavirin) compared to oseltamivir alone in the treatment of influenza in an at-risk population.
This study is being carried out to see if a new drug called ticagrelor given twice daily in addition to the ASA therapy decreases the frequency of cardiovascular events (e.g., death from heart disease, heart attack, or stroke).
This multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled parallel-group study will evaluate the effect of gantenerumab (RO4909832) on cognition and functioning and the safety and pharmacokinetics in participants with prodromal Alzheimer's Disease. Participants will be randomized to receive subcutaneous (SC) injections of either gantenerumab or placebo. Participants who consent to be part of the sub study will undergo positron emission tomography (PET) scanning to assess brain amyloid. The anticipated time on study treatment is 104 weeks in Part 1, with an option for an additional up to 2 years of treatment in Part 2, followed by an open-label extension (Part 3) until July 2020. The dosing for Parts 1 and 2 was stopped after a planned futility interim analysis showed a low probability of meeting the primary outcome measure with the doses studied. The study has converted to open-label to investigate higher gantenerumab doses.
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of Dovitinib versus sorafenib in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer.
This study is conducted in Europe and Asia. The aim of this observational study is to monitor antibody formation towards the room temperature stable formulation of NovoSeven® (activated recombinant human factor VII).
Randomised, double-blind, parallel-group, multi-centre study evaluating three doses of losmapimod (2.5mg, 7.5 mg and 15 mg) twice daily (BID) versus placebo on exercise tolerance. Eligible subjects will be randomised to treatment after a one-week run-in period. The duration of the treatment period is 24 weeks. An estimated 1000 subjects will be screened to reach the target enrolment of approximately 600 randomised subjects.
