Filter by:AdAPT-001 is an oncolytic virus that is injected directly into the tumor or via intraarterial administration. The purpose of this study is to find out if AdAPT-001 is safe and tolerable. The next step is to find out if AdAPT-001 if efficacious with or without a checkpoint inhibitor.
Monocentric, category 2 study according to Jardé Law (minimal risks and constraints) of three prospective cohorts: Tumors located at the oropharynx, the oral cavity and the larynx-hypopharynx. The main objective is to evaluate the 3D vector of the absolute residual positioning error observed with the CBCT reference imaging, after repositioning performed with ExacTrac®. The secondary objectives are to evaluate: 1) the rate of residual errors ≥2mm (translations in all directions) and ≥2 ° (rotations in all directions) on CBCT imaging after repositionning with the ExacTrac® system; 2) the Evaluation of intrafraction movements amplitude by analyzing the ExacTrac® images taken during the irradiation; 3) the evolution of the relative position of the volume of the tumor at high risk of recurrence (CTVTHR) in relation to the spine over the entire duration of the treatment; 4) the impact of patient's weight loss, the advancement of RT and the realization of a chemotherapy / targeted therapy concomitant with RT, on the evolution of the relative position of the CTVTHR in relation to the column vertebral; 5) the dosimetric consequence of a strict bone registration on the CTVTHR coverage by calculating the post-treatment dose on the CBCT imaging.
The aim of this study is to prospectively validate the safety and efficiency of management according to the YEARS algorithm to safely rule out clinically suspected PE in patients with active malignancy to be compared with 'standard' management by computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) alone in a randomized study.
Pediatric cancer survivors are at an increased risk of excessive weight gain and reduced exercise behaviors with the potential for this risk to worsen over time. With over 80% of pediatric cancer patients living to adulthood, many pediatric cancer survivors experience long-term health consequences such as heart disease - the leading cause of death in this population. The purpose of this clinical research study is to teach parents/caregivers skills that will help prevent and reduce the problems of obesity in childhood cancer survivors. In this study, parents have the opportunity to participate in one of two web-based groups in which parents in either group will learn valuable information to improve the health of their child and of themselves.
Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are an important breakthrough in cancer therapy and have been increasingly used. However, ICIs can cause a unique spectrum of side effects termed immune-related adverse events (irAEs),which can affect any organ systems and in some cases are fulminant or even fatal. In clinical practice, irAEs and clinical efficacy maybe various for patients with same standard treatment, and some studies have shown that gene and metabolic differences in cancer patients may be an important factor. In this project, peripheral blood samples from cancer patients will be collected prospectively at baseline, and at regular intervals (2 cycles, about 6 weeks) for about 30 weeks, then these blood samples will be analyzed using the technique of genomics, metabonomics. The investigators aim to find biomarkers associated with irAE or clinical efficacy. When the sample size and data is big enough, the investigators plan to establish a prediction model using machine learning to access the safety and efficacy of ICIs for cancer patients. Our study have important clinical implications in the prediction and early management of severe, potentially life-threatening immune-related toxicity.
Due to the changes in lifestyle caused by the COVID-19, it is a priority to provide multi-interactive digital platforms and social media for nutrition and exercise programs for cancer patients. A two-year serial program uses mixed study methods of longitudinal combined experimental study. We will investigate cancer frailty's current situation and track the frailty trends after cancer patients received different treatments. We will also invite experts to develop multi-interactive digital platforms of nutrition and performance-based tailored circuit training programs according to the cancer frailty survey. We will recruit 20-85 years of newly diagnosed or first-time recurrence cancer patients and stratified randomization assigned to evaluate nutrition and physical exercise intervention effectiveness. The measure indicators were treatment-related adverse events, nutritional status, frailty status, survival rate, and life quality.
This is a study of treatment with TBX-3400 in subjects with solid malignant tumors that are resistant or refractory to standard therapies. The subject's own blood cells are exposed to a protein that has been shown in the laboratory to result in anti-tumor activity. The study hypothesis is that TBX-3400 cells will enhance anti-tumor activity and improve the body's immune response to the tumor.
LVGN7409 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to CD40, and acts as an agonist against CD40. This first in human study of LVGN7409 is designed to establish the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended dose for expansion (RDE) as well as the recommended Phase 2 dose(s) (RP2D) of LVGN7409, both as a single agent (monotherapy) and in combination with a fixed dose of anti-PD-1 antibody and/or CD137 agonist in the treatment of advanced or metastatic malignancy.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a multifactorial education and support program for the prevention of cancer-related cachexia syndrome, for patients and their family caregivers during anti-cancer treatment.
The objective of the proposed research is to conduct a longitudinal experiment on the neurocognitive pathways and individual differences in high-level construal for affect regulation and smoking cessation. The population is adult smokers aged 25-55 who have tried and failed to quit and who are experiencing poverty. The primary endpoints are (a) the similarity in neural representation of high-level construal to one of two candidate pathways, (b) the presence of meaningful individual differences in the neural representation of high-level construal, and (c) as a secondary endpoint, the effect size of the high-level construal condition on smoking as measured by cigarettes per day. Each of these endpoints corresponds to a specific null hypothesis. The null hypothesis for the first endpoint is that high-level construal is not significantly different in its neural representation from down-regulation of craving, which would suggest that high-level construal does not operate through distinct mechanisms from traditional treatments. The null hypothesis for the second endpoint is that the between-subjects variability in the neural representation of construal level does not significantly relate to relevant individual differences measures (e.g., traits, task behavior), which would suggest that individual differences are not meaningfully related to outcomes. Finally, the null hypothesis for the secondary endpoint is that the magnitude of the effect of high-level construal on smoking as measured by reductions in average cigarettes per day is not significantly greater than in the other conditions, which would suggest that the efficacy of the high-level construal condition is not significantly greater than a standard text-messaging intervention. The primary endpoints will be assessed at baseline and change from pre-to-post training (8 weeks).
