There are more than 498,563 clinical trials published worldwide with over 60,000 trials that are currently either recruiting or not yet recruiting. Use our filters on this page to find more information on current clinical trials or past clinical trials (free or paid) for study purposes and read about their results.
SARS COV-19 has resulted in prolonged olfactory dysfunction in many patients. The investigators aim to compare the effect of topical platelet-rich plasma (test) vs saline (placebo) in patients with covid-related post-viral olfactory dysfunction.
The goal of this study is to assess cumulative lead exposure among treatment-seeking patients in the MUSC hospital system receiving experimental transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS), an electroencephalogram (EEG), and/or transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) therapies to determine whether lead exposure represents a risk factor for more severe mental illness or a modifier of treatment response. Information will be obtained from patients with a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders recruited to existing hospital studies. This information will include the results of bone-lead testing, brief cognitive tests, and self-reported psychiatric symptoms and behaviors.
This is an open-label, multicenter, observational study of the adherence of patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) prescribed Bafiertam (monomethyl fumarate) as their treatment.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of music therapy on stress levels in female patients applying for in vitro fertilization.
The goal of this randomized control trial study is to compare an acceptance-based weight loss program with an occupational therapy behavioral lifestyle modification intervention in adults with metabolic associated-dysfunction steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and metabolic associated-dysfunction steatohepatitis (MASH). Formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The main questions the study aims to answer are: 1. How do the two interventions compare for improving weight loss, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), and FibroScan results. 2. Examine the role of occupational therapy on a multidisciplinary team for the treatment of MASLD and MASH. Participants will meet with an occupational therapist for individual, 60-minute visits for 13 consecutive weeks. Each week participants will be weighed and then engage in a personalized intervention. At the end of the visit participants will be given worksheets and information to work on in-between visits. Researchers will compare the intervention with an acceptance-based behavioral weight loss program that is commonly used for people with obesity and or type 2 diabetes.
Amniotic fluid mesenchymal stem cells developed for chondrogenic treatment (AFCC) are used to treat elderly patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis (OA). The injection reduces inflammation and promotes the recovery of knee function, leading to an improved quality of life.
This is a 49 weeks prospective, non-interventional cohort study. To observe the effect of long-acting injection antipsychotic(LAI), paliperidone palmitate on prevention of recurrence and symptom control in schizophrenia patients with violence risk. This study can be extended according to the implementation of the project and extended follow-up time.
In order to improve the quality of care we provide to patients, medical trainees need to experience low incident, high mortality events in a safe learning environment. There is a selection bias for predisposing characteristics of health care providers, as most people who have pursued a career in medicine are motivated to learn how to manage medical emergencies. Resources have been traditionally enabled with conventional simulation centers or mobile simulation units. However, these are costly and difficult to access. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a mixed reality alternative to conventional simulation. The need for this is inherent in becoming a medical provider and use of these resources will improve health practices and health services.
The research surrounding best practice guidelines of geriatric trauma patients in the inpatient setting is broad. Furthermore, the comprehensiveness of research programs varies based on individual hospital resource capacity. American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program (ACS TQIP) Geriatric Trauma Management Guidelines1 details a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to inpatient management; however, guideline effectiveness is diminished as many hospitals may implement a version of the guidelines limited by staffing, ancillary services, and resource capacity, among other variables.
This study was planned as a randomized controlled quasi-experimental study to determine the effect of progressive relaxation exercises on sleep quality, anxiety and stress levels in risky pregnant women. "Personal Information Form", "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PUKI)" to measure the sleep quality of pregnant women, "Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale" to determine the anxiety levels of pregnants, "Pregnancy Stress Scale" to determine the perceived stress level of pregnants, which were created by the researchers in the direction of the literature in data collection. Evaluation Scale".The universe of the research, T.C. It will consist of pregnant women who are hospitalized with the diagnosis of risky pregnancy in the Ministry of Health Adana City Training and Research Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinics. The sample size was determined as 15 patients to compare the means between the two groups. With an expected dropout rate of 10% and to ensure the adequacy of the final sample size, 17 patients were selected per group.Relaxation exercises are easy to apply, economical, safe and effective non-pharmacological applications that can be used independently by nurses and midwives. By ensuring the management of risky pregnancies, it will support the protection and development of public health by ensuring the protection of both women and fetus health.
