A single-centre, open-label, mass balance and biotransformation study in healthy male subjects utilising a single oral dose of [14C] XZP-3287
The study is a single-center parallel group randomized controlled trial comparing the administration of a presacral nerve block using 20mL of local ropivacaine 5.0mg/ml versus 20mL of normal saline (sham block) on post-operative pain following total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
This observational study, aims to characterize with a multi-omic approach, the impact of host genetics and the pathogenic environment on immune response variation in Native Amazonians in comparison with Mestizo Amazonian, a severely underrepresented population in genomic studies. Various samples will be taken from the participants, including blood, urine, saliva, etc. From the blood sample, peripheral blood mononuclear cells will be obtained and will give us information about the differences between immune response variation of Amazonian population. From the other samples we will be able to obtain additional information on the risk factors related to the difference in the immune response of the participants.
Most stroke patients are initially evaluated at the closest hospital but some need to be transferred to a hospital that can provide more advanced care. The "Door-In-Door-Out" (DIDO) process at the first hospital can take time making transferred patients no longer able to get the advanced treatments. This study will help hospitals across the US "stand up" new ways to evaluate stroke patients, decide who needs to be transferred, and transfer them quickly for advanced treatment.
Coronary heart disease has a high incidence and high death rate. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is an important method for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD). However, PCI may cause myocardial cell injury and myocardial infarction 4 Type(MI4a, Type 4 a myocardial infarction related to PCI). Dexmedetomidine(Dex) is the only anesthetic which has sedative and analgesic effects. Dex currently has been widely used in perioperative management of various surgical. This study intends to verify the effect of heart protection of Dex in perioperative.
Cancer is the leading cause of death in man and the second leading cause in women with 85,000 and 63,000 deaths, respectively, in 2012. A working group led by Holly L. Howe, PhD, in 2002 defined primary neoplasia Such as the occurrence and diagnosis of two or more independent neoplasms of different histology in the same patient. The occurrence of a new cancer has become more frequent in recent years: the prevalence of multiple primary neoplasia (NPM) is estimated between 0.73% and 11.7%. According to the French data, the risk of second cancer in people who have already had a first cancer is increased by 36% compared to the general population. Several studies have reported an increase in the risk of cancer after treatment of lymphoma but there are currently no studies on the occurrence of lymphoma and cancer of synchronous occurrence. In our department, 19 patients presented cancer and lymphoma synchronously, that is to say 6 months between 2007 and 2012. The main objective is to show that there is an increase in the incidence of cancers in patients diagnosed for lymphoma synchronously. Secondary objectives are to describe the clinical and biological characteristics of the patients concerned and to formulate hypotheses on the physiopathological mechanisms involved: peri-tumoral B-cell lymphoproliferation, alteration of the immune system or rearrangement of the BCR. In a second step, the investigator could propose a multicenter epidemiological study using data from the different Cancer Registries. If results are confirmed in a larger cohort, recommendations could be made.
No predictive factors are known for the response to the bevacizumab anti-angiogenic molecule (Avastin) given in the event of relapse of glioblastoma (GBM) following radiochemotherapy. Classical MRI with gadolinium injection and perfusion is not sufficient to predict survival and response or duration. We propose to evaluate the prognostic interest for 6-month survival of spectroscopic biomarkers of proliferation, glial reaction, infiltration and glutaminergic metabolism or glycolytic metabolism recorded at 7 and 28 days of application of the treatment. These biomarkers are based on the increase of an index combining choline / Creatine (Cho / Cr), Glx / Cr (Glutamine and glutamate / Creatine), NAA / Cr (N acetyl aspartate / Creatine) and lactate / Cr ratios. The long-term objective is to predict the survival of these relapsed GBM patients at an early stage and to identify responder patients who would benefit from this expensive molecule and avoid using it in non-responding patients
A headache is a more common disorder and one that prevails over a lifetime of much of the population. Among the causes are in the stress and spasms of the pericranial musculature, presence of painful sensitivity in the region, decrease of pain threshold, and a presence of trigger points (PGs) that can also cause as headaches. The solutions for health and health, in addition to Percutaneous Microelectrolysis (MEP®), which is used in the application of low intensity galvanic current through the acupuncture needle. Although it is a very common pathology, it is still little studied and a lack of information is a question of solutions such as crisis of care. This work justifies the negative bones of CTT in university students, as this has repercussions on the quality of life, besides proposing a therapeutic approach to reduce the symptomatology. The present study aims to investigate the effects of myofascial release techniques, MEP® and an association of therapies, observing the impact on quality of life and repercussions on academic performance. This is a controlled clinical trial of a convenience-based approach, consisting of universities between the 1st and 10th Physical Therapy course of Estácio Ponta Negra, over 18 years of age, who are not present in the application of the questionnaires, It is necessary to use the medicine of the analgesic type. The volunteers are evaluated through the HIT-6 and SF-36 questionnaires, after a selection of pain evaluation, PGs and algometry. The randomization will consist of 4 groups, after a consultation and an immediate re-evaluation and a second time and a new intervention and re-evaluation. A descriptive and inferential statistics will be performed through the SPSS 20.0 program. The normality of the data is observed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test. For a comparison between groups whose parametric data are applied or anova test with post hoc tukey comingue of significance of 5% (p <0.05). It is believed that the use of the association of myofascial release techniques and Percutaneous Microelectronics promotes greater benefits in tension headache.
A total of 210 coronary atherosclerosis patients without indications for stent implantation are included. The baseline values of platelet aggregation rate, plasmaThromboxaneB2 and urinary 11-dh ThromboxaneB2 are measured by Light Transmittance Aggregometry method and ELISA after aspirin 100 mg /d ≥5d. Then the patients are randomly divided into 7 groups: Group1: aspirin 100 mg/d; Group2: aspirin 100 mg /2d; Groups3: aspirin 100 mg / 3d; Groups4: morning 50mg evening 50mg; Group5: aspirin 75mg / d; Group6: aspirin 50mg / d; Group7: indobufen100mg bid. One month later, arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation rate , plasma TXB2 and urine 11-dh TXB2 are analyzed again. All patients are followed-up for 1 year. The stomach Intestinal reactions, small bleeding events are recorded.
Treatment options for nipple fissures include drug therapy with antifungal and antibiotics, topical applications of lanolin, glycerin gel, creams and lotions, the milk itself, hot compresses and silicone nipple shields. Studies involving a light-emitting diode (LED) therapy have demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties, the enhancement of the wound repair process and the control of pain.
