Matching the color of resin composite utilized in anterior teeth is believed to be one of the most challenging tasks a dentist has to face in daily practice. The color of the teeth is primary influenced by dentin; on the other hand, enamel has a major influence on the color perception in terms of lightness. In the layering concept, the missing dental tissues are substituted in increments with resin composite of the exact shade as the dental tissue. A translucent composite resin is applied over a more opaque composite resin to achieve a depth perception similar to that of the natural teeth. Which indicates that the visible color is the consequence of diffuse reflectance from the internal dentin or opaque material layer through the external translucent layer. There are numerous elements that make the color matching problematic. These problems arise from the point that color matching rely on many different chromatic properties related to the teeth and resin composite; those include hue, chroma and value; translucency, opalescence and fluorescence; light diffusion and transmission; and luster and texture of the surface. To reach the ideal esthetics, restorative material should mimic the natural tooth in the previously mentioned properties, in addition of having a long time color stability. Massive efforts were achieved over the years to improve the esthetic properties of dental resin composite restorative materials. Recently, a single shade structurally colored universal composite (Omnichroma, Tokuyama Dental) intended for use with most direct restorative clinical cases was introduced in the market. Its manufacturer claimed that it exhibits color change toward the color of the surrounding hard dental tissues. Thus, it has the advantages of improving the esthetic appearance of the restoration, decrease dependence on shade-matching procedures, decrease the number of shade guide tabs, and counteract for color mismatches to some degree. Up till now no studies assessed the color match of Omnichroma resin composite in anterior teeth cavities clinically. Thus, the aim of this clinical trial was to investigate if the single shade structurally colored universal resin composite (OMNICHROMA) will modify its shade to match the tooth structure shade in anterior teeth cavities.
ChAd0x1 nCoV-19 (AZD 1222) is the main vaccine that is planned to roll-out in Thailand and involve vaccinating people especially in high-risk categories. This vaccine is contained in the multiple-dose vial for vaccinating 10 recipients for 0.5 mL each. However, the additional volume of vaccine was overfilled to 6.5 mL per vial which the vaccination can be administered to more than 10 doses. The University Hospital Network (UHOSNET) and Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University have jointly stipulated the preparation and vaccination of ChAdox1 - n CoV-19 vaccine with 12 doses per vial injection with traditional 21 or 24 G needle. Taken together, The investigators planned to investigate the immune response of participants after first dose of ChAd0x1 nCoV-19 vaccination with such technique
To compare the predictive effectiveness of the Caprini risk assessment model, the Padua risk assessment model and the VTE risk assessment in medical patients mentioned in the 2018 edition of the Guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of pulmonary thromboembolism on the risk of concomitant VTE in respiratory inpatients to provide a basis for clinical VTE assessment and treatment.
Feedback delivered during motor practice can help promote motor skill learning, enhance confidence, and alter brain connectivity. However, the optimal way to provide feedback to promote learning, confidence and brain connectivity is unknown. This project will study how the feedback that is provided during practice of a movement skill can help people learn and build confidence and whether these correspond to changes in brain function. The investigators will measure motor skill performance, confidence, and resting state brain connectivity before and after a session of motor practice.
Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of the most usual illness in our society. Therapeutic Exercise (TE) has been shown the most effective and cheaper treatment in patients suffering LBP, but the lack of engagement to the therapeutic exercise programs is related with later acute LBP and chronic situations, despite symptoms slightly improve. The value of personalized therapeutic exercised programs in patients suffering LBP has been shown nowadays, improving symptomatology and quality of life. New technologies help patients to engage more in treatment, while time that health education make people "active patients". The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a Home Therapeutic Exercise Program (HTEP) based in an app with McGill's exercised adding 6 face-to-face sessions every 15 days with a physical therapist .
This study was planned to examine the effect of progressive relaxation exercises applied to lung cancer patients receiving chemotherapy on dyspnea, pain and sleep quality.
The aim of this study is to examine the acute effects of kinesio taping applied to the gastrocnemius muscles of children enrolled in soccer school on sprint and dynamic balance.Children who meet the required criteria will be randomly placed in the kinesio taping and placebo groups by drawing lots. Dynamic balance and sprint abilities of the participants were evaluated before and immediately after taping. Y Balance Test will be used to evaluate dynamic balance. Measurements were taken in the anterior, posteromedial and posterolateral directions of the right and left sides.10 m and 20 m sprint tests will be used to assess speed ability. In-group and between-group comparisons will be analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program and appropriate tests.
COVID-19 is currently the leading public health problem, associated with a high risk of complications and death in risk groups of patients. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common liver disease with a prevalence of 30% in the Western population and is also recognized as an independent risk factor for the development of severe COVID-19. In the pathogenesis of COVID-19, the key role is played by the hyperreactivity of the immune response, the so-called cytokine storm leading to the development of severe forms of pneumonia, acute respiratory and multiorgan failure. The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical course, outcomes, and profile of inflammatory response in patients with COVID-19 and NAFLD.
The aim of the project is to study of the influence of Lettuce crop enriched with Molibdenum on hematological parameter. Secondary outcome to find out Molibdenum presence in urine in order to evaluate vegetables, like little crop, as Molibdenum biocarrier.
Non-stress testing (NST) is one of the most commonly used methods to assess fetal health in the prenatal period because it is an easily interpreted, non-invasive, painless, and short-term diagnostic method. Although NST is a non-invasive and painless diagnostic method, pregnant women may feel anxiety during the procedure. It is supported by studies that listening to music causes relaxation and reducing anxiety. Therefore, the use of music as a non-pharmacological practice will increase the quality of care of individuals. There are many studies suggesting that music reduces anxiety in low-risk pregnancies during NST application. Different instruments such as ney, rebab, kopuz, dombra are used in Turkish music. In particular, ney has come to the fore in music therapy. The ney, which has different types in history, is an instrument that is closest to the human voice. In a compilation about the music used in music therapy in Turkey, it was stated that there are many social and health studies made with the sound of ney. Determining the effect of music on NST and anxiety in high-risk pregnant women will contribute to the literature.
