18F-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in Patients With Various Types of Cancer

FAPI-VTC
Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

FAP is overexpressed in the cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) of 90% epithelial carcinomas. Currently, 68Ga-fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) has shown promising diagnostic value in many types of tumors. However, there are currently no studies on head-to-head comparison of diagnosis value of various types of cancer in 18F-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT. Therefore, we conducted a prospective study to investigate the value of 18F-FAPI PET/CT in various types of cancer, and compare it with 18F-FDG PET/CT.

NCT ID: NCT05487443 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Biliary Tract Cancer

The Efficacy of Chemotherapy Combined With Immunocheckpoint Inhibitors in Advanced Biliary Malignancies

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To the patient of terminal biliary malignancy tumor, how should the patient's treatment plan choose ? To address this problem, this study intends to analyze systemic venous gemcitabine-based chemotherapy regimen combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with advanced BTC, to evaluate the long-term efficacy and toxicity of patients, and to search for predictable biomarkers. In order to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of intravenous chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy for patients with advanced biliary malignancy, provide certain basis for clinical work, and then select the most suitable treatment plan for patients according to the different characteristics of individual patients.

NCT ID: NCT05488002 Not yet recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Pharmacists Interventions on Patients Diabetic, and Obese Patients in the UAE: Randomized Controlled Trials.

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hypertension, diabetes, and obesity are considered major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and premature mortality worldwide. Furthermore, they have severe consequences on quality of life among patients. With increasing challenges facing the healthcare systems, pharmacists are well positioned to take on a greater role in the management of chronic diseases. The present study aims to investigate the impact of pharmacist counselling on the clinical outcomes (weight, mortality, blood pressure, blood glucose) of hypertensive, diabetic, and obese patients.

Lenalidomide in the Treatment of Refractory Cutaneous Dermatomyositis

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lenalidomide in the treatment of patients with active cutaneous DM.

NCT ID: NCT05489861 Not yet recruiting - Sleep Quality Clinical Trials

The Effect of Affirmation and Massage on Babies

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The research was designed as a randomized controlled trial model to examine the effects of affirmation and infant massage taught to the parents of 0-6 month-old infants registered in a Family Health Center and a Private Medical Center in Istanbul, on the sleep quality of their infants and mother-father-infant attachment. The research will be carried out between August and October 2022 by including the parents of the babies in the scope of the study. The Mother-Father and Infant Information Form and the Extended Infant Short Sleep Questionnaire, the Maternal Attachment Scale, and the Father-Infant Attachment Scale will be used to collect the data.

NCT ID: NCT05491408 Not yet recruiting - COPD Exacerbation Clinical Trials

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

1. To evaluate the effecacy of cough assist device (CAD) in COPD patients admitted in RICU either on invasive or Non-invasive ventilation. 2. To detect any possible complications associated with the use of cough assist device.

NCT ID: NCT05492760 Not yet recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Recurrence Risk of Atrial Fibrillation After Cryoballoon Ablation

era-cryo
Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The recurrence of atrial fibrillation(AF) after pulmonary vein ablation with cryoballoon is conducted by many factors . The previous studies found larger left atrial and longer AF duration are tied to higher risk of AF recurrence. The characters of ablation procedure is also of critical importance to durable clinical success such as temperature features and time-to-isolation (TTI). The aim of our study is to develop an tool of recurrence risk evaluation with both pre-procedure and procedure factors.

NCT ID: NCT05495620 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Multiple Myeloma in Relapse

Long-term KRd in Relapsed and/or Refractory Multiple Myeloma

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Research question: Is KRd therapy effective and safe in the real-world Asian patients? Primay objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of KRd in RRMM patients Secondary objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of investigational treatment strategy by - PFS difference according to the high-risk disease subgroups and previous treatment - OS - Overall response rate and clinical benefit rate - Duration of response To evaluate the safety and tolerability of KRd in RRMM patients

NCT ID: NCT05495659 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Ureteral Stent-Related Symptom

Detection of Ureteral Stent Encrustation

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Ureteral stents are the most commonly used postoperative implantable materials in urology. The indwelling ureteral stents often lead to the formation of encrustation, with an incidence of 10%, which will lead to complications such as obstruction, lower urinary tract symptom (LUTS), and difficulty in extubation. At present, there is no accurate and sensitive diagnostic criteria for ureteral stents encrustation. Previously, we developed the artificial intelligence-based ureteral stents encrustation identification software - GREE-AI Medical Software (GAIMS) with the collaboration of GREE ELECTRIC APPLIANCES,INCORPORATED.OF ZHUHAI(a city of Guangdong, China). In order to further evaluate the diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of the software in practical clinical applications, and to verify its predictive ability for ureteral stents encrustation, the following single-center, prospective, double-blind, diagnostic cohort study is planned. This study will use the gold standard as a reference to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of GAIMS for detecting ureteral stents encrustation. At the same time, it will be compared with non-enhanced contrast Computed Tomography examinations interpreted by clinical radiologists to evaluate the pros and cons of GAIMS in detecting ureteral stents encrustation.

NCT ID: NCT03767478 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetic Neuropathies

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation For The Treatment of Diabetic Neuropathy

NMES-DN
Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Diabetic neuropathy (DN) is the most common complication of diabetes, affecting almost 50% of people with diabetes over the course of their lives. Symptoms vary from numbness to burning, aching and hypersensitivity in the lower limbs, indicative of sensory nerve loss. Motor neurons can also be affected, leading to muscle weakness and mobility issues, thus preventing patients from engaging in daily routines. Further sequelae include foot ulceration and Charcot neuroarthropathy, which are risk factors for lower limb amputation and mortality. In the United Kingdom, the annual costs of DN alone exceed £300 million, with further complications expected to cost an additional £1 billion. Currently, management strategies for DN focus on prevention and pain management. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) is a novel nonpharmacological intervention for people with DN. NMES is the application of electrical impulses which are of sufficiency intensity to improve artificial contraction of the muscle tissue and may help with DN by improving nerve conductivity through direct stimulation of the nerves.
