NCT ID: NCT05042869 Completed - Eating Disorders Clinical Trials

Feasibility and Acceptability of a Body Dissatisfaction Program in Eating Disorders Patients

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The cognitive model of Eating Disorders (ED) highlights dysfunctional cognitive patterns common to the different subtypes. Body dissatisfaction, which can be defined as the negative and subjective evaluation of one's body shape, i.e., negative thoughts and emotions concerning one's body image and the origin of pathological behaviours with the aim of modifying one's weight and body shape, thus appears to be a central transdiagnostic concept in the ED. It is, moreover, described as a major factor in the development, maintenance and relapse of the various types of ED. It is suggested that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) may be beneficial in treating body dissatisfaction insofar as body image inflexibility appears to influence the relationship between body image appraisal and coping strategies. ACT, which aims to develop psychological flexibility, appeared to us as a promising tool to manage body dissatisfaction in ED. The investigators therefore aim to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a psychological management group for body dissatisfaction (9 or 10 weekly group session), based on ACT therapy, in patients suffering from an ED.

NCT ID: NCT05055947 Completed - Clinical trials for Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

Efficacy Biomarker Investigation on Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the trial is to find some biomarkers to predict the efficacy of Atezolizumab plus etoposide and platinum based chemotherapy as the first line treatment in extensive stage small cell lung cancer. Mainly observe the patient's progression free survival time after treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05055999 Completed - Clinical trials for Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

The purpose of the trial is to detect tumor microenvironment on Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer with simultaneous liver metastases who Treated with Atezolizumab plus Etoposide and Platinum Based Chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT05083234 Completed - Nursing Caries Clinical Trials

Maintaining Skin Integrity in Neonates With Sunflower Seed Oil and Liquid Vaseline

Neonates
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this randomized controlled study, 90 preterm and term neonates in the NICU of a state hospital were equally divided into 3 groups. The skin integrity of the newborns in all three groups was assessed in terms of the Neonatal Skin Condition Score (NSCS), which was performed a total of 9 times at 48-hour intervals. The skin of the newborns in the first group was moisturized with SSO and with LV in the second group, once a day, a total of 17 times. Moisturizer was not applied to the skin of the third group of newborns (the control group).

NCT ID: NCT05090059 Completed - Plantar Fasciitis Clinical Trials

Myofascial Points Treatment With Focused Extracorporeal Shock Waves (ESW)

ESW
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a common cause of heel pain. Among the several conservative treatment options, Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is considered the standard treatment. Recent studies suggest that PF may be sustained by a myofascial impairment proximal to the pain area with a biomechanical disequilibrium of the entire lower limb and pelvis. Therefore, by combining the concepts of Fascial Manipulation and ESWT, the purpose of this open label randomized controlled clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness of the ESWT on myofascial trigger points of lower limb in a sample of subjects with PF. Patients with PF were randomly assigned to an Experimental treatment Group (EG), treated with focused ESWT on myofascial points, and a Control Group (CG), treated with the focused ESWT traditional approach on the medial calcaneal tubercle. Outcome measures included the Foot and Ankle Outcome Score (FAOS) and the Italian Foot Functional Index (17-iFFI). The assessment was made before the first session(baseline-T1), immediately before the second session (T2), immediately before the third session (T3), at 1month (T4) and 4 months' follow-up (T5). Thirty patients who satisfied inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled.

NCT ID: NCT05091554 Completed - Cryotherapy Effect Clinical Trials

Intraoral Cryotherapy in Root Canal Retreatment

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of intraoral cryotherapy application on postoperative pain in single and multiple visit retreatment of teeth with symptomatic or asymptomatic apical periodontitis. This clinical trial was also investigate the potential of intraoral cryotherapy application to reduce on postoperative analgesic use of patients in line with the results obtained. A total of 118 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected for the study. The patients were randomly divided into two groups as single visit and multiple visit (n=59). Then, each group was randomly divided into three subgroups as control (without cryotherapy), 15 minutes of cryotherapy, and 30 minutes of cryotherapy. Twenty two teeth were retreated in each cryotherapy group and 15 teeth in each control group. Visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to evaluate and compare postoperative pain. Postoperative analgesic use of patients was also recorded.

NCT ID: NCT05131542 Completed - Down Syndrome Clinical Trials

Assessment of Hypotonia in Children With Down Syndrome

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Hypotonia is a common trait in infants with Down syndrome, resulting in pathologies and delays in gaining basic motor skills. There are no screenings available to aid in early diagnosis, therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a way to test for hypotonia in children with Down syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT05167708 Completed - Accretions; Teeth Clinical Trials

Effects of Micro-osteoperforation on the Maxillary First Molar Distalization

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

the study aimed to evaluate the effect of different types of Micro-osteoperforation on the rate of distal movement of maxillary first molars as a primary out come. Besides, it was aimed to study secondary effect on the first molars by evaluating root resorption, bone density, and level of the pain during performing the procedures.
