Effectiveness of ICBT for Severe Health Anxiety in Clinical Psychiatry.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of internet-based cognitive therapy for severe health anxiety within regular psychiatric care. A longitudinal cohort study will be conducted investigating 400 patients who have received ICBT for severe health anxiety between 2018-2020 in an outpatient psychiatric clinic providing Internet-based treatment. The primary outcome measure will be the Short Health Anxiety Inventory, SHAI, and a within-group design with repeated measures will be used for primary analysis. It is hypothesized that ICBT will be associated with a significant reduction in health anxiety as measured with SHAI, both after treatment and at six-month follow-up.

Standard nursing care including, eye, mouth, nose, diaper change, skin care with baby oil and nurturing was applied respectively to the study groups for approximately 20 minutes. The baby was made listen to the lullaby recorded in the voice of parents starting with, during and after the care for 10 minutes. Heart rate, saturation, respiration rate and comfort behiavour scores of the newborn was measured 1 minutes before, during and 15 minutes after the care. The data was evaluated in SPSS 21.0 program with convenient statistical methods.İt is detected that heart rate, respiration rateand comfort behiavour scores of the newborns who listen to lullaby in the mother's voice are low compared to the newborns listening to lullaby in the father's voice and those in the control group .

The Effect of a Serious Health Game on Children's Eating Behavior

Background: Currently the dietary intake patterns of children do not meet the prescribed dietary guidelines. Consequently childhood obesity is one of the most serious health concerns. Therefore, innovative methods need to be developed and tested in order to effectively improve the dietary intake of children. Learning children how to cope with the overwhelming number of unhealthy food cues could be conducted effectively by serious health games. Objective: The main aim of this study was to examine the effect of a serious health computer game on young children's eating behavior and attitudes towards healthy and unhealthy foods. Methods: A cluster-randomized controlled trial with a between-subject design was conducted (N=157; 8-12 years), whereby children played a game that promoted a healthy lifestyle or were in the control condition. Children in the control condition attended regular classes and did not play a game. The game was designed in collaboration with researchers and pilot-tested before conducting the experiment among a group of children repeatedly. After one week of playing, attitudes towards food snacks and actual intake was assessed, whereby children could eat at libitum from fruits or energy-dense snacks.

The Effect of High-intensity Laser Therapy in Patients With Chronic Shoulder Pain

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of biostimulating, analgesic and noninvasive high intensity laser therapy on pain, functionality and quality of life in patients with chronic shoulder pain. Participants between the ages of 18-75 and without any cognitive, communication and psychiatric problems were included in the study. Patients were randomized into two groups and both received conventional physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for 3 weeks, 5 sessions a week. The treatment program applied was as followed; the control Group (n = 25): conventional physiotherapy and study Group (n = 25): conventional physiotherapy and High-intensity Laser Therapy (HILT). Upper extremity range of motion was evaluated with 'goniometer', pain threshold with 'algometer, muscle strength with 'myometer'; disability status with 'The Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH)'.
