This is a self-controlled study design enrolling consented COPD patients who will be treated with Spiolto Respimat according to the approved Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC).
The investigators will apply xenon-129 (129Xe) and non-contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquisition and analysis methods in 50 subjects aged between 20 and 29 years born pre-term (with and without a diagnosis of bronchopulmonary dysplasia [BPD]) and at term to characterize and probe the relationship between lung structure and function using imaging.

This is a multicenter, double- blind extension study of Oral Budesonide Suspension (OBS) in adults and adolescents (11 to 55 years of age, inclusive) with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) who have completed participation in the SHP621-301 induction study (NCT02605837). The primary objective is to evaluate the maintenance of efficacy of OBS over 36 weeks. Maintenance of efficacy will be measured by the peak eosinophilic count and Dysphagia Symptom Questionnaire (DSQ) score.
In severe bleeding due to trauma, a decrease in coagulation factors maintains and promotes bleeding. The plasma allows, through its contribution of coagulation factors, early prevention or correction of this post-trauma induced coagulopathy. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of pre-hospital FLYP administration in case of traumatic hemorrhagic shock, in the occurrence or the treatment of a post traumatic induced coagulopathy. Study Design This is a randomized controlled multicenter open label study in two parallel groups. Eligibility criteria : adult, victim of a hemorrhagic shock of traumatic origin with [systolic blood pressure <70 mmHg] or Shock Index >1.1 The patients will receive either FLYP either the usual treatment as given in the recommendations for best practice. The primary endpoint is the International Normalized Ratio (INR) at hospital admission. The study must confirm the link between causality of early administration of plasma in improving post-traumatic coagulopathy. The study must show safe usage in out-of-hospital situations and the ability of medical staff to meet the requirements of the health authorities in terms of product use as well as in terms of traceability of the victims and the treatment they received.

The aim of the Phase 4 study is to test the scale structure, reliability, responsiveness to change and validity of the EORTC QLQ-LC29 in conjunction with the EORTC QLQ-C30 in patients diagnosed with lung cancer. Participants will be enrolled in four groups according to their primary therapy (A. Surgery, B. Radiochemotherapy, C. Targeted therapy, D. Immunotherapy). According to sample size calculations the investigators will include a total of N = 450 patients, but inflating the recruitment goal is permissible.
This is an interventional, controlled and randomized single-center clinical trial with patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer that will undergo laparoscopic left hemicolectomy or laparoscopic low anterior resection for rectal cancer. All patients included in the study (study 1) are randomized into two groups (group 1A and group 1B): in the group 1A the surgical technique initially dissects the inferior mesenteric vein (IMV) and in the group 1B the surgical technique initially dissects the inferior mesenteric artery. The patients who will undergo a colorectal anastomosis will be included in the study 2 and will be randomized to group 2A and group 2B: in group 2A the patients will have a latero-terminal colorectal anastomosis and in group 2B a termino-terminal colorectal anastomosis. Study hypothesis: Study 1: the surgical technique that initially dissects the IMV presents a greater number of total resected lymph nodes compared to the technique that initially dissects the IMA. Study 2: latero-terminal anorectal anastomosis has a better anorectal functional outcome than termino-terminal anorectal anastomosis. Primary outcome measures: - Study 1:To compare the total number of resected lymph nodes and the distance to the surgical margins between the two arms (1A and 1B). - Study 2: to compare the anorectal functional outcome at 12 months after surgery or ileostomy closure between the two arms (2A and 2B). The anorectal function will be assessed by the scores of the validated Colorectal Functional Outcome Questionnaire (COREFO) and the validated scale LARS (Syndrome anterior resection of the rectum). Secondary outcome measures: - Study 1: to compare the duration of surgery, bleeding and need for surgical conversion between the two arms (1A and 1B). Another objectives are to compare the incidence of postoperative complications (measured by the Clavien-Dindo classification) and survival. - Study 2: to compare the quality of life and anorectal functional outcomes at : 6, 12, 18 and 24 months after intervention (or ileostomy closure) between the two arms (2A and 2B). The anorectal function will be assessed by the validated COREFO questionnaire and the LARS scale. The quality of life will be assessed by the validated questionnaire of quality of life: SF-36. Another objective is to compare the incidence of postoperative complications assessed by the Clavien-Dindo classification and the incidence of anastomotic leakage.
