Filter by:Study Type: Interventional Study Design: Treatment, Open Label, Uncontrolled, Single Group Assignment, Safety and Efficacy study Official Title: A Clinical Study of the TAG Thoracic Endoprosthesis in the Treatment of Thoracic Aortic Diseases for Non-Surgical Candidates under the Physician Sponsored IDE. PURPOSE OF RESEARCH: You are invited to participate in a research study for treatment of aneurysms of the descending thoracic aorta. The investigational device, called the TAG Thoracic Endoprosthesis (device) has been designed to simplify treatment of aneurysms of the descending thoracic aorta. The other pathologies treated can include pseudoaneurysms, acute and chronic dissections, penetrating ulcers, mycotic aneurysms, ruptures, fistulae, and transections.The device is made from a graft (an artificial vessel) which is surrounded on the outside by a metal mesh-like form. The device is in the shape of a tube. The device reinforces the weakened part of the aorta from the inside. Blood flows through the device to the arteries that go to your abdomen and legs. The device is folded tightly onto a catheter (a flexible, hollow tube) that is put into the aorta through an artery in your leg. Unless there is a problem, you would not need to have your chest opened.
The purpose of this trial is to assess whether a strategy of endovascular repair (if aortic morphology is suitable, open repair if not) versus open repair reduces early mortality for patients with suspected ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).
The purpose of this study is to identify possible in vivo biochemical and biological markers related to aortic wall strength.
The purpose of this study is to look at the systemic inflammatory response caused when patients undergo thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair (TAAA). In addition, this study will look at how the inflammatory response affects the post operative healing process and post operative complications.
The use of a suprarenal extension device during the index AAA procedure to accommodate the patient's anatomy and to prevent or repair leakage.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single-dose, design investigating the safety, tolerability and efficacy of NA-1, a peptide designed to reduce ischemic brain damage. Up to 200 male and female patients undergoing endovascular repair of brain aneurysm will be dosed with 2.60 mg/kg of NA-1 or placebo as a 10 minute intravenous infusion after completion of the endovascular procedure on Day 1 of the study period. Subjects will undergo interim procedures Days 2-4 and end-of study procedures on Day 30. Standard safety criteria will be analysed. Efficacy endpoints include the ability of NA-1 to: 1) reduce the volume of ischemic embolic strokes, 2) reduce the number of ischemic embolic strokes, 3) reduce vascular cognitive impairment, and 4) reduce the frequency of large strokes induced by the endovascular procedure. The plasma concentrations of NA-1 will also be analyzed.
Using phase contrast MR Angiography with NOVA® Software, this study intends to identify,evaluate and map intracranial aneurysm development as well as develope a predicator for future morphological changes of aneurysms and possible risk of future rupture.
Study of anatomical fixation with a 34mm proximal extension
To demonstrate safety and effectiveness of the Endurant Stent Graft in the treatment of Abdominal Aortic or Aorto-Uni-Iliac Aneurysms.
The data collected in this study will be used to support International Regulatory submissions. The study objective is to evaluate the continued safety and efficacy of the AXIUM Progressive Coil System. This Device has been used clinically at approximately 150 Institutions under FDA 510(k) clearance since April 24, 2007. The device received CE authorization on June 30, 2007. Through December 2007, more than 1000 patients have been treated with the AXIUM Coils.
