NID-HRV
Start date: November 30, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational ambispective cohort study to validate the Baveno VI guideline and develop a new diagnostic model to screen high-risk varices (HRV) of liver cirrhosis using iLivTouch.

NCT ID: NCT06387264 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Varicose Veins of Lower Limb

Compont - Varicose Veins of the Lower Extremities

Start date: January 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Medical Adhesive produced by Beijing Compont Medical Devices Co., Ltd. in the treatment of varicose veins in the lower extremities. The main questions it aims to answer is: What medical problems do participants have when using tissue glue? Researchers will compare Medical Adhesive to ClosureFast Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Catheter (produced by Medtronic Inc. to see if Medical Adhesive works to treat varicose veins in the lower extremities. Participants will: Treated with closed varicose veins of the lower extremity by Medical Adhesive or ClosureFast. Return to the hospital at 1, 12, and 24 weeks postoperatively for Doppler ultrasound, and at 4, 12, 24 weeks postoperatively for venous scoring.

NCT ID: NCT06370169 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Gastric Varices Bleeding

EUS Guided Coil Embolization for Primary Prophylaxis of Gastric Varices

EUS
Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The standard treatment of bleeding gastric varices is obliteration with placement of coil and glue. Our study will evaluate the efficacy of EUS guided coil as primary prophylaxis for high-risk gastric varices. All procedures will be performed with patient under deep sedation or general anaesthesia under the supervision of an anaesthesiologist.

NCT ID: NCT06367166 Active, not recruiting - Vascular Diseases Clinical Trials

Effects of Bioflavanoids on Vascular Wall Remodeling in Patients With Varicose Veins

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is aimed at assessing the dynamics of changes in biochemical markers of venous wall remodeling (type 1 plasminogen activation inhibitor (PAI-1), fibronectin (fibronectin, FN), vimentin (vimentin, VM), von Willebrand factor (vWF), PECAM-1 (CD31) ) in patients with C2s-C3s varicose veins compared with healthy volunteers while taking Venarus® (diosmin in combination with hesperidin).

NCT ID: NCT06366763 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Varicose Veins of Lower Limb

Comparative Clinical Efficacy Between Multi-layer Bandage Pressure Therapy and Gradient Pressure Elastic Stocking Treatment After Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objective: To assess the clinical efficacy of different compression methods within 48 hours after endovenous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in terms of great saphenous vein closure rate, postoperative complications, quality of life, time to return to normal work, and patient satisfaction.

NCT ID: NCT06332833 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Peripheral Arterial Disease

Availability of Venous Conduits in Patients With Varicose Veins for Arterial Bypass Surgery

Start date: December 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Patients with PAD having superficial femoral artery (SFA) occlusion were consecutively enrolled. Demographic data and medical history were taken. Physical examination and duplex ultrasound were performed.

NCT ID: NCT06290973 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Quality of Life and Health Perception After Surgery of Varicose Veins

Start date: January 2, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to analyze changes in health perception and quality of life in patients after surgery for varicose veins using clinical score VCSS and QoL scores SF12 as general health questionary and Veines QoL/Sym as disease specific questionary.

Start date: February 20, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study will be to determine the effect of resistive exercises on varicose veins in postmenopausal women, the effect of aerobic exercise on varicose veins in postmenopausal women and to compare between the effect of resistive exercise versus aerobic exercise on varicose veins in post menopausal women.

NCT ID: NCT06192472 Completed - Varicose Veins Clinical Trials

Investigation Into the Pathophysiology and Treatment of Varicose Veins

Start date: April 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Chemical sclerotherapy is commonly used to treat varicose veins which affect superficial veins in the leg. Sclerotherapy is injected directly into veins where it causes damage to the vein wall. If sufficient damage occurs, the vein is transformed into a fibrous cord which does not re-open. This study will investigate the structural changes caused to the wall of veins following injection with sclerotherapy ex vivo. Vein samples will be obtained from the Whiteley Clinic in Guildford from patients undergoing phlebectomy operations. These will then be injected with sclerotherapy and the extent of damage will be investigated. Samples will also be used for laboratory analysis into the pathophysiology of varicose veins.
