Safety and Efficacy Of Amber Peripheral Liquid Embolic System

A prospective, single-arm, multicenter, open-label, First-in-Human & Pivotal Study to assess the safety and efficacy of amber SEL-P in 70 patients requiring peripheral embolization: vascular anomalies, hemorrhages, aneurysms, and pseudoaneurysms, varicose veins, portal vein, hypervascular tumors, type -II endoleaks, and pathological organs. The study will be divided into two consecutive stages. Stage I will be dedicated to testing the device's safety, followed immediately by stage II, aimed to test the device's efficacy. The overall study sample will be used to assess the device safety and efficacy in all the enrolled participants.

Compont - Varicose Veins of the Lower Extremities

The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Medical Adhesive produced by Beijing Compont Medical Devices Co., Ltd. in the treatment of varicose veins in the lower extremities. The main questions it aims to answer is: What medical problems do participants have when using tissue glue? Researchers will compare Medical Adhesive to ClosureFast Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Catheter (produced by Medtronic Inc. to see if Medical Adhesive works to treat varicose veins in the lower extremities. Participants will: Treated with closed varicose veins of the lower extremity by Medical Adhesive or ClosureFast. Return to the hospital at 1, 12, and 24 weeks postoperatively for Doppler ultrasound, and at 4, 12, 24 weeks postoperatively for venous scoring.

Prediction of Esophageal Varices in Liver Cirrhosis Using Tongue Bioinformatics

The goal of this observational study is to compare the tongue bioinformatics of high-risk and low-risk patients with esophageal varices due to liver cirrhosis. The main question of this study is to explore whether there exists a relationship between the degree of esophageal varices and tongue bioinformatics in liver cirrhosis. it aims to answer 2 questions as below: question 1: If these is a significant difference in tongue bioinformatics between patients in liver cirrhosis with high-risk and low-risk of esophageal varices. Question 2; If tongue bioinformatics can be used as a diagnostic basic for testing esophageal varices in liver cirrhosis. Firstly, participants will be divided into two groups according to their degree of esophageal varices from electronic gastroscopy report and CT scan report including high-risk group and low-risk group. Secondly, participants will be asked to show their tongue, including the surface and sublingual veins of tongue, and the tongue images of each participants will be collected by researchers via camera. After finishing tongue image collection, participants will receive a professional tongue diagnosis report in Traditional Chinese Medicine and health suggestion.

EVLA is used in in treating refluxing veins, commonly the GSV. The tip of catheter is usually placed 2-2.5 cm distal to the sapheno-femoral junction. This technique theoretically provides the lowest risk for endothermal heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT). In the present study we aimed to evaluate the zero-distance technique (the kissing technique) compared to 2-cm distance from SFJ valve in ablating incompetent GSV.

Varicose veins are a result of valvular insufficiency and presented with twisted, enlarged veins. They not only cause cosmetic concerns but also lead to limb edema, skin pigmentation/lipodermatosclerosis, and even venous ulcers. This disease affects a large percentage of the population. Although there have been several researches on the risk factors for varicose veins and the outcomes of alternative therapies , there is currently limited data focusing on varicose veins in young patients. In this case-control study, we wanted to assess the risk factors for varicose veins in patients under the age of 40, as well as their long-term results of surgery.

Endovenous RFA Versus Ligation and Striping for Varicose Veins

Varicose vein is a common chronic disease affecting patient's quality of life. High ligation and stripping of the long saphenous vein is the traditional operation for varicose vein. The radiofrequency ablation (RFA) device used for treatment of varicose vein has been available in China since 2014. There are few studies comparing RFA and stripping in the treatment of varicose vein. This study was to investigate the outcomes of RFA and stripping for varicose vein. Patients with varicose veins will be prospectively allocated to RFA group and stripping group. Ultrasound follow-up will be performed to assess recanalization of long saphenous vein at 1 month, 3, 6 and 12 months. Recurrence of varicose vein and improvement of symptoms will also be evaluated. The primary endpoints are technical success, complications and recurrence of varicose vein. Secondary endpoints are duration of operation, blood loss, recovery time, venous clinical severity score, and medical cost. The treatment outcomes will be compared between the RFA group and stripping group. RFA is comparable to traditional stripping in the treatment of varicose vein, however, it is associated quick recovery, lower incidence of complications and higher medical cost.
