NCT ID: NCT06039657 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis in Mild Idiopathic Scoliosis

Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

İdiopathic scoliosis is a three dimensional deformity with lateral deviation and rotation of the spine. In idiopathic scoliosis, scoliosis-specific exercises are utilized as a primary treatment for moderate curves and as a supportive measure alongside bracing for more severe curves. SEAS, which stands for Scientific Exercises Approach to Scoliosis, refers to a treatment approach developed as a scientific exercise methodology for scoliosis. This approach aims to provide scoliosis-specific exercises and techniques to manage and potentially improve the condition. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of SEAS as a conservative treatment approach for mild AIS.

NCT ID: NCT05731102 Completed - Clinical trials for Substance Use Disorders

Diagnostic Survey of Mental and Substance Use Disorders Among Norwegian College and University Students

Start date: January 24, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aims of this observational survey are to 1) collect data on the prevalence of mental and substance use disorders, and 2) investigate risk factors and consequences of mental and substance use disorder

NCT ID: NCT05713175 Completed - Orthopedic Disorder Clinical Trials

Orthopaedic Treatment in Propulsive Metatarsalgia

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effectiveness of two conservative orthopedic treatments in propulsive metatarsalgia. The main question it aims to answer are: - To compare the effectiveness of treatments on foot pain and functionality in subjects diagnosed with propulsive metatarsalgia. - To determinate the influence of clinical and radiographical characteristics in pain improvement. Participants will wear the treatment for 3 months . Researchers will compare polypropylene and EVA insoles and Fixtoe Device® to see if a foot pain improvement is achieved.

NCT ID: NCT05617417 Completed - Clinical trials for Urinary Incontinence

The Efficacy of Injectable Platelet-rich Fibrin in the Treatment of the Female Stress Urinary Incontinence

Start date: May 5, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of locally applied injectable platelet-rich fibrin in women with stress urinary incontinence. We searched whether there was a decrease in the severity of urinary incontinence after the injection of platelet-rich fibrin. The participants will answer questionnaires about urinary incontinence before and after the injectable platelet-rich fibrin treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05347537 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Effects of Mulligan's Mobilization With and Without Clamshell Exercises in Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

Start date: April 27, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction is the changing of joint structure (ligaments, muscles and cartilage) that cause impairments and movement restrictions. It is one of the primary sources of low back pain among female population and often misdiagnosed. Almost 15-30% patients are suffering from sacroiliac joint dysfunction who presented with the complaint of low back pain. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of mulligan's mobilization with and without clamshell exercise on pain, disability and quality of life in patients with sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

NCT ID: NCT05291195 Completed - Treatment Clinical Trials

Treatment of Young Permanent Teeth With Different Adjuvant Approaches

Start date: February 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To determine microbiology assessment of infected root canal in young permanent teeth, as well as antimicrobial efficiency of different adjuvant treatment modalities including photodynamic therapy (PDT), high-power diode laser, and essential oils following mechanic-chemical treatment in the treatment of periapical periodontitis in these teeth.

NCT ID: NCT05279157 Completed - Keratoconus Clinical Trials

Autologous Adipose-Derived Adult Stem Cell Implantation for Corneal Diseases (ADASCs-CT-CD)

ADASCs-CT-CD
Start date: April 19, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Cellular therapy of the corneal stroma with implantation of mesenchymal stem cells derived from autologous adipose tissue with or without a carrier (scaffold) composed by decellularized human donor corneal stroma is used in patients with corneal diseases such as corneal dystrophies, and keratoconus. For this purpose, the study planned to assess the enhancement of visual acuity, pachymetric, and aberrometric parameters with implantation of autologous mesenchymal adipose tissue-derived adult stem cells (ADASCs) alone, 120 µm thickness of decellularized or recellularized laminas with ADASCs. Three groups will be included in the study: (1) Implantation of a single dose of ADASCs alone without scaffold. (2) Implantation of decellularized human corneal lamina without ADASCs. (3) Implantation of the recellularized human corneal lamina with ADASCs.

NCT ID: NCT05160350 Completed - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Probiotic in Treatment of Adult Patients With Drug-resistant Epilepsy

Start date: April 21, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized, double-blind parallel group placebo-controlled clinical trial with the aim of investigating the effect of probiotic versus placebo on drug-resistant adult patients with epilepsy.

NCT ID: NCT04948073 Completed - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

The Effects of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Approach

Start date: June 24, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

When the positive effects of the recently popular "Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)" approach are examined, it suggests that it may be a possible treatment option in geriatric individuals with chronic nonspecific low back pain (CSNLP). Based on the principles of developmental kinesiology, the DNS approach takes advantage of infants' motor development curves in the treatment of motor disorders. The main focus is on regulating intra-abdominal pressure and the integrated spinal stabilizing system (ISSS) through specific functional exercises based on the positions exhibited by a healthy infant. According to the DNS, every developmental position is an exercise position, but every exercise must follow basic principles. These principles are restoration of correct respiratory pattern and intra-abdominal pressure, respectively; ensuring correct support during dynamic activities of the extremities and ensuring biomechanical alignment during movement. Considering the principles of exercise, there appears to be a potential mechanism of action for anomalies in geriatric individuals with CNSLBP. Therefore, in our study, we aimed to examine the effect of DNS approach on functional movement patterns, balance, quality of life and exercise capacity in geriatric individuals with CNSLBP. It is the first randomized controlled study in the literature, and our hypothesis is that the DNS approach may be an effective therapeutic approach on these parameters.

NCT ID: NCT04838938 Completed - Treatment Clinical Trials

Personalized Medicine in Patients With Infective Endocarditis

Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The hypothesis underlying this work is the identification of different sub phenotypes of patients with infective endocarditis through the study of the host's response to infection. Furthemore, metagenomic sequencing may be a helpful supplement to IE diagnostic, especially when conventional tests fail to yield a diagnosis.
