NCT ID: NCT06361771 Recruiting - Sleep Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Invisible Preparation Behaviors of Middle and High School Students in Sports Facilities (PRICELESS)

PRICELESS
Start date: January 8, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators define the Invisible Preparation (IP) as the set of health behaviors that young athletes implement, on their own, to optimize their health and performances. This includes sleep, nutrition and hydration, physical well-being (injuries prevention) and mental well-being. If some studies have reported a lack of compliance in young athletes regarding sleep and hydration recommendations, the literature is poor in this field. The CMS (Brest Metropolitan Area Sports Medicine Centre, France) aims at preserving the health of young athletes. Prior to their medical examination, the patients will be asked, all along the year 2024, to fill out a form that question them about their health behaviors in the four areas of the IP. Under the direction of the Brest University Hospital, PRICELESS (Invisible Preparation of Middle and High School Students in Sports Institutions) study will try, based on their answers, to estimate the proportion of young athletes who declare adopting the health behaviors recommended in the IP.

NCT ID: NCT06337929 Enrolling by invitation - Mental Health Clinical Trials

Effects of Capoeira on the Physical and Psychological Performance of Adults

Start date: April 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Regular physical activity (PA) promotes benefits for both physical and mental health. Among the numerous PA's with a collective nature that can add to the existing recommendations, combat sports training interventions are viable alternatives since they integrate benefits in different aspects for health. In this way, capoeira can be a strategy for the prescription of exercise, aiming to serve participants collectively and maintaining the adherence of this practitioner to the intervention. However, little is known about this issue. So, the aim of the present study is to verify the effect of 12 weeks of capoeira training on the physical performance and psychological aspects of previously physically inactive adults.

NCT ID: NCT06228716 Completed - Training Clinical Trials

Education With Hybrid Simulation Method in Patients Administering Subcutaneous Biological Drugs

Start date: July 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In recent years, vital drugs such as heparin, insulin, growth hormone, interferons, monoclonal antibodies and drugs containing proteins that can be destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract have been developed in the form of self-subcutaneous injection in order to reduce the negative effects of treatment practices on the lives of patients. After the training, the patients can apply the subcutaneous injection on their own without assistance. This situation reduces the dependency on the nurse and allows the patient to apply the injection on time, without the need to reach the health institutions. In a study, it is stated that the inadequacy of injection training causes many patients to develop inappropriate injection behavior patterns and to acquire habits regarding these inappropriate techniques. It is also stated that the anxiety they experienced before the injection caused them to ignore the critical steps towards the injection application. In this study, the Subcutaneous Injection Hybrid Model, developed by the researcher, will be used in the training of patients who administer biologic drugs subcutaneously. It is thought that these patients will improve their injection practice skills and reduce their anxiety about injection by repetitive applications by training with the hybrid simulation method.

NCT ID: NCT06178094 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

The Effects of Video Training Given to Individuals With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: February 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this randomised control type of study is to examine the effects of Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones on self-care and metabolic control. The Hypotheses of the Study: H1: Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones has a positive impact on individuals' self-care. H2: Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones has a positive impact on individuals' metabolic control variables. Participants will answer the data collection tools in the first and second interviews and metabolic control variables will be record. Diabetes training videos will sent to the Training Group through smartphones after the first meeting as two episodes a week. Video Diabetes Training given to training group will be examine the effects of on self-care and metabolic control.

NCT ID: NCT06168344 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

The Effect of Web-based Training Given to Mothers of Babies With Congenital Heart Disease

Start date: February 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study was assessed the impact of a web-based education program provided to mothers of infants with congenital heart diseases on their quality of life and self-efficacy levels. The study is a mixed-method approach with a qualitative and pre-test post-test design, utilizing randomized controlled quasiexperimental type. The research was conducted with mothers of infants diagnosed with congenital heart disease who sought care at the Pediatric Cardiology Outpatient Clinic of a university hospital and were followed up. There are two groups in the study. Web-based education was provided to mothers in the intervention group (n=30). No intervention was applied to the mothers in the control group (n=30) other than the outpatient clinic routine of the hospital.

NCT ID: NCT06101836 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

The Impact of Remote Training on Colonoscopy KPIs

Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Colonoscopy is a complex, highly operator dependent, practical skill. The consistent attainment of key performance indicators (KPIs) by endoscopists depends primarily upon training. Local factors can make training unstructured and contingent upon the observed practice of a small number of trainers. The investigators sought to demonstrate the feasibility and impact of a virtual-live one day colonoscopy-training course.

NCT ID: NCT06034184 Recruiting - Training Clinical Trials

Enhancing Mass Casualty Triage Through Virtual Reality Simulation

VR-MCI-RCT
Start date: November 8, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This interventional study aims to investigate whether Virtual Reality (VR) compared to traditional education and training, can enhance the correct triage abilities of nursing students in simulated mass casualty incidents (MCI). The primary research question seeks to answer if VR compared to Standard education supports students' ability to triage correctly in a simulated MCI situation. Additionally, this study aims to address the following secondary questions: Does VR compared to standard education have an effect on the time to triage in a simulated MCI situation? And, does VR compared to Standard education have an effect on theoretical knowledge retention concerning triage in MCI situations? In the interventional group, participants will utilize VR for MCI training and learning, while the control group will undergo standard education, including lectures and paper exercises. The researchers will compare the two groups of nursing students to assess whether VR yields better outcomes in MCI triage education.

NCT ID: NCT05467774 Completed - Training Clinical Trials
