NCT ID: NCT06347276 Recruiting - Thrombosis Cardiac Clinical Trials

Cerebral Microembolization Associated With PFO Closure

Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aims to investigate (1) the de novo cerebral microembolization in patients who undergo transcatheter closure of PFO or ASD, and (2) evaluate the relationship between de novo cerebral microembolization and in situ thrombus within PFO.

NCT ID: NCT06327659 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for STEMI - ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Efficacy of Using 50 ml Syringe Manual Thrombectomy Catheter in Primary PCI With Heavy Thrombus Burden

Start date: April 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In high thrombus burden subgroup of Acute STEMI, manual aspiration thrombectomy was associated with reduced cardiovascular death but increased stroke or transient ischemic attack. The role of aspiration thrombectomy is still a matter of active debate. Manual aspiration suffers from decreasing aspiration force as the syringe fills with fluid and requires the operator to exchange syringes during the procedure to maintain suction.

NCT ID: NCT04649034 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Intraventricular Stasis In Cardiovascular Disease

ISBIFLOW
Start date: November 24, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is designed to quantify the ventricular stasis in patients with different forms of cardiomyopathy and at risk of stroke (ischemic, non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) by post-processing of 2D color Doppler echocardiography and phase contrast-magnetic resonance images in order to establish the relationship between quantitative variables of intraventricular stasis and the prevalence of silent embolic events and/or intraventricular mural thrombosis.

NCT ID: NCT04073875 Completed - Clinical trials for Aortic Valve Disease

18F-GP1 PET-CT to Detect Bioprosthetic Aortic Valve Thrombosis

Start date: October 22, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

18F-GP1 binds with high affinity to the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptors on activated platelets. 18F-GP1 PET-CT has recently demonstrated favourable safety, pharmacokinetic, biodistribution and diagnostic performance for the in vivo identification of venous and arterial thrombemboli.

NCT ID: NCT03795883 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

The Thrombotic Potential of Heart Chambers in the Presence or Absence of Atrial Fibrillation.

Start date: February 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators aim to test the thrombotic potential of various heart chambers including left atrium, left atrial appendage, right atrium and peripheral veins. Blood samples will be taken from the different chambers in 50 patients admitted for standard pulmonary vein ablation and compared to patients without atrial fibrillation admitted for left sided supra ventricular tachycardia or mitral clip. Thrombin generation parameters will be assessed by the calibrated automated thrombogram.
