Filter by:Study to assess whether etanercept therapy is able to increase flow-mediated vasodilatation in AS, and whether etanercept can modify the intima-media thickness (IMT) in these patients
This is a Phase 2 study, involving a 12-week treatment period, designed to evaluate the effectiveness of investigational study drug ARRY-371797 (versus placebo) in treating ankylosing spondylitis, and to further evaluate the drug's safety. Approximately 130 patients from the US, Canada, Poland and Hungary will be enrolled in this study.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the clinical benefit of tramadol/acetaminophen versus non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) (diclofenac 50 milligram [mg]) in the treatment of pain in participants with ankylosing spondylitis (inflammation of the spine causing pain and stiffness) receiving stable treatment of disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
Subjects will be given 3 infusions of infliximab according to the label at week 0, 2, and 6. Subjects will be followed for a maximum of 18 weeks or until relapse. This study will assess the ability of the Power Doppler Ultrasonography (PDUS) to be a reliable marker of enthesitis response and relapse in subjects treated with infliximab.
This is a Phase 4 open label, non-interventional, multi-center study to evaluate the safety of Enbrel (etanercept) treatment in patients receiving etanercept 25mg sc twice weekly or 50mg of etanercept once weekly. The improvement of health-related quality of life will also be evaluated.
