The Efficiency of Acupuncture Combined Intradermal Sterile Water Application in Acute Renal Colic: a Randomised Clinical Trial.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the analgesic effect and tolerance profile of acupuncture combined with intradermal sterile water application versus intramuscular phloroglucinol in acute renal colic. In this study, we aimed primarily to test the efficacy of acupuncture combined with intradermal sterile water application as a rapid and effective treatment in severe renal colic. Participants will randomly divided into two groups. The first group received only intramuscular phloroglucinol, the second group received acupuncture and intradermal sterile water. The visual analog scale (VAS,ranging from 0 for no pain to 10 for maximum imaginable pain) was used to assess pain intensity at baseline and at 10, 20, 30, 45,and 60 minutes following the start of the treatment protocol. Possible treatment side effects were also recorded.

Investigation of the Effectiveness of Acupuncture in Patients Diagnosed With Interstitial Cystitis
Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome is a non-bacterial chronic inflammatory disease of the bladder characterized by lower urinary tract symptoms such as dysuria, irritating urgency, and nocturia, as well as pelvic pain associated with bladder filling. The International Continence Society (ICS) defines bladder pain syndrome as "a complaint of suprapubic pain due to bladder filling accompanied by urinary system symptoms such as increased daytime and nighttime urinary frequency as a result of the exclusion of proven urinary infection or other obvious pathologies." Acupuncture is an important treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine that has been used for more than 2500 years and is performed by placing needles at specific points on the skin. In the literature, clinical studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture in Interstitial Cystitis and its effectiveness in relieving symptoms has been demonstrated. In the light of these data, our aim in our multi-centered study is to investigate the effectiveness of acupuncture in relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life in patients diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. In our study, patients who applied to the Urology Clinic between 01.02.2024 and 01.07.2024 with pelvic pain or discomfort lasting more than 6 months and lower urinary tract symptoms such as frequent urination, dysuria and nocturia will be examined and evaluated with suspicion of Interstitial Cystitis diagnosis.

Enhancing Chronic Migraine Preventive Therapy: Laser Acupuncture as an Add-On Treatment for Patients With Unsatisfactory Pharmacological Effect, a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial
A single-blind randomized controlled trial was conducted from January 2022 to September 2023. Chronic migraine patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either Laser acupuncture or sham treatment. The co-primary outcomes were changes in monthly migraine days (MMD) and acute headache medications usage days per month from baseline. Evaluations were taken at baseline and each follow-up point.

Study on the Effect of Tongyuan Acupuncture on Consciousness Disorder After Stroke
Stroke is a common and frequently-occurring disease in the world. Patients with stroke often have sequelae and functional disorders of varying degrees, among which the disturbance of consciousness has the greatest impact on prognosis and quality of life.At present, drug therapy, neurosurgical interventional therapy and modern physical therapy are mainly used for post-stroke consciousness disorders. The above therapies to improve the state of consciousness of patients are not supported by sufficient evidence-based evidence, and the other is that they have shortcomings, such as invasive, expensive, and strict indications. Acupuncture has been used in the treatment of sequelae of stroke for thousands of years in China. Tongyuan acupuncture is a set of traditional Chinese medicine therapy pioneered by Professor Lai Xinsheng, a famous doctor of Chinese medicine. A large number of previous studies have proved that Tongyuan acupuncture has a unique effect on the cardiovascular system, gynecology, ent, neurology and other functional disorders. In this study, Tongyuan acupuncture was used in patients with post-stroke consciousness disorder to observe its efficacy and explore the mechanism of action. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Tongyuan acupuncture can improve the consciousness disorder after stroke, and to provide a new safe, effective, feasible and easy to popularize treatment method.

Acupuncture Therapy on Dysphagia in Parkinson's Disease: A Randomized Controlled Study
From June 2019 to May 2021, we conducted a randomized controlled study, including dysphagic patients with Parkinson's diseases who were admitted to the department of rehabilitation medicine in 3 hospitals in China. The participants were divided randomly into the experimental group and the control group, with 56 in each one. Both two groups were given routine treatment and swallowing rehabilitation training. Moreover, the experimental group was given acupuncture therapy.

Augmenting Benzodiazepine Receptor Agonist Deprescribing With Acupuncture and Yoga
The main purpose of this 12-week study is to see if a new combination of treatments can help older adults reduce benzodiazepine or related medication use. The treatment combination consists of 1) medical provider visits to gradually reduce the medication dose over 12 weeks, 2) acupuncture treatments, and 3) private yoga classes. Participants will be offered weekly visits for 12 weeks to receive combined treatments. Participants will be provided surveys before, during, and after the study to learn about their experience of the treatments. At the end of the study, participants will be invited to participate in a focus group to learn about their experience in the study.
