Filter by:The goal of this clinical trial is to compare between platelet-rich fibrin and platelet-rich plasma in female pattern hair loss . The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - efficacy between platelet-rich fibrin and platelet-rich plasma - safety between platelet-rich fibrin and platelet-rich plasma Participants will be divided into 2 side of treatment with composed of 1. Platelet rich plasma 2. Platelet rich fibrin
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if combined local injection of platelet rich plasma (PRP) gel adds clinical efficacy to isolated arthroscopic microfracture in treatment of osteochondral lesion of the talus (OLT). The interface integration of the injured area will also be assessed via radiographic follow-up. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does arthroscopic microfracture combined with PRP gel injection improve ankle function of participants based on American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Score? - Does arthroscopic microfracture combined with PRP gel injection improve interface integration of the injured cartilage on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)? Researchers will compare arthroscopic microfracture with concomitant local injection of PRP gel to isolated microfracture to see if intraoperative PRP gel injection adds clinical efficacy to isolated arthroscopic microfracture in treatment of OLT. Participants will: - Undergo either isolated arthroscopic microfracture or microfracture with intraoperative injection of PRP gel - Receive clinical follow-up 3, 6, 12, and 24 months after surgery and answer scales of ankle function assessment - Take MRI preoperatively and 6, 12 and 24 months after surgery
This study was a retrospective study on type 2 diabetes patients that were treated with autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and autologous activated platelet-rich plasma (aaPRP) measuring HbA1c level at baseline, 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month post-treatment.
Knee osteoarthritis is the most common type of osteoarthritis in the lower extremity and constitutes 23% of all arthritis cases, about 13% of females and 10% of males aged above 60 years have symptomatic knee OA. Intra-articular corticosteroids (IACs) are a frequently-used treatment regimen for pain relief from symptomatic knee OA as it inhibits inflammation and reduces prostaglandin synthesis. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous blood product containing a high percentage of various growth factors (GFs), such as fibroblast growth factor, epidermal growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor, transforming growth factor-β and platelet-derived growth factor. The aim of this study is to compare effect of intra-articular injection of platelet rich plasma versus corticosteroid in treatment of primary knee osteoarthritis.
Objective. In this study, the investigators aimed to investigate the efficacy of combined a single platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and physical exercise (leg swing and quadriceps strengthening exercise) versus PRP and hyaluronic acid (HA) combination therapy. Methods. One hundred and six patients with grade Ⅱ-Ⅲ Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) according to the Kellgren-Lawrence classification were randomly divided into intra-articular injection of PRP combined with leg swing and quadriceps strengthening exercise (group A) and intra-articular combination injections of PRP and HA (group B). Patients in group A received twice intra-articular injection of PRP (2 ml, 2 weeks apart) and regular leg swing and quadriceps strengthening exercise for 3 months. Patients in group B received twice intra-articular combination injections of PRP (2 ml) and HA (2 ml) every 2 weeks. The primary outcome measures were Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC) score. The second outcomes included single leg stance test (SLS) and functional activity by 2 minutes walking test (2MWT) and time up and go test (TUGT). All outcomes were evaluated at baseline and after 1,3,6, and 12 months.
The definition of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) is the decline of estrogens during menopause results in symptoms and clinical signs from both systems. Estrogen and other hormones production decrease after menopause because the ovaries lose their effectiveness, leading to mucosal atrophy, reduced vaginal moisture, dysuria, urgency, recurrent infection, burning, pruritus and dyspareunia. The treatment included vaginal estrogen supplement, vaginal hyaluronic acid supplement, vaginal laser, platelet rich plasma, etc. Observational cohort study will be used for study design, and questionnaire, pelvic examination, vaginal pap smear with maturation index (MI), vaginal pH, and other methods will be used for evaluation of the effectiveness and side effects.

Comparison of IntraArticular Platelet-Rich-Plasma to Corticosteroid Injections for Patients with Zygapophyseal Joint (Z-Joint) Low Back Pain Confirmed by Dual Intra-Articular Local Anesthetic Injections: A Triple Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial.
This study aims to investigate efficacy of intralesional PRP in treatment of finer nail onychomycosis.
Photoaging is characterized by cellular changes and alterations in dermal extracellular matrix proteins with degeneration of connective tissue caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The clinical manifestations of photoaging included wrinkles, pigmented changes, tissue loss, and sagging. Autologous platelet-rich plasma is a preparation of platelets in concentrated plasma from peripheral blood. The α granules of platelets contained many growth factors. According to previous literature, growth factors in platelet-rich plasma directly stimulate fibroblast proliferation to boost collagen production. It has also been shown to modulate extracellular matrix metabolism and remodeling by increasing the expression of specific matrix metalloproteinases. In review of previous literatures, there was only limited researches of platelet-rich plasma for treatment of photoaging. Therefore, the present study was conducted for analyzing the efficacy and safety of autologous platelet-rich plasma in photoaging therapy.
