NCT ID: NCT05117944 Completed - Empathy Clinical Trials

Drama-supported Patient Role Experience of Nursing Students

Start date: October 9, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Method: This research was designed as a pretest-posttest regular parallel-group, randomized controlled experiments. The research will be carried out with students studying in Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Nursing, 2nd grade, without a history of hospitalization and chronic disease and who agreed to participate in the research. Data will be collected using the Datasheet, Altruism Scale, and Jefferson Empathy Scale for Nursing Students (JESNS). The data will be analyzed in the SPSS program.

NCT ID: NCT04176822 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Designing Animated Movie for Preoperative Period

Start date: September 4, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background: Using visual materials is effective in education to decrease children's pre-operative fear and post-operative pain. Children, especially those aged between 6 and 12 years, are interested in technology. This study aims to investigate the effects of watching an educational animated movie in the pre-operative period on fear and postoperative pain in children who are having surgery. Methods: The study was a prospective randomized controlled trial. This study was conducted between 6- to 12-year-old children in the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital. The current study includes data from 132 children who were chosen doing block randomization. The "Child and Family Identification Data Form", "Children's Fear Scale" and "Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale" was used in data collection. The patients were divided randomly into three groups as the "Educational Animated Movie Group" (EAMG), "Documentary Movie Group" (DMG) and "Control Group" (CG). The Educational Animated Movie and Documentary Movie were screened using Virtual Reality (VR). Data were collected by the researcher in the pre-operative period. The pre-operative fear of the child was evaluated by the child and the parent, and the post-operative pain of the child was evaluated by the child, parent, and nurse using scales about fear and pain.

NCT ID: NCT04172493 Completed - Patient Clinical Trials

Hyperspectral Endoscopy Imaging for the Early Detection of Precancerous Lesions in Average Risk Patients

Start date: August 26, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies whether hyperspectral endoscopy improves visualization of abnormal tissue in average risk patients during standard-of-care colonoscopies. Hyperspectral endoscopy is an emerging technique that has the potential to enable the signals from blood to be resolved from tissue-specific signals. Image-enhanced endoscopy may improve visualization of abnormal colonic tissue when compared to the standard-of-care high-definition white light endoscopy.

NCT ID: NCT04082845 Completed - Education Clinical Trials

Effect of Web-Based Training With Thyroidectomy Patients

Start date: September 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
