A case-control study to identify microbiome and genetic differences between healthy subjects and patients with incident Parkinson's disease.
Within this study we conduct long-term measurements on Parkinson patients using a three sensor IMU setup: one sensor is located at the wrist, one sensor at the belt/ in the pocket and one sensor is worn as a pendant. Before and after each long-term measurement phase (5 days within 6-8 weeks) we perform an UPDRS to identify changes in everyday life behaviour that correlate with UPDRS trends (especially part 3).
The main objective of this study is to evaluate whether people whose PD symptoms are uncontrolled who are managed with the aid of objective measurement and use of target ranges have improved PD symptoms and outcomes as compared to individuals treated using only standard of care (medical history, neurological examination).
This study is a placebo-controlled, double-blind trial that will investigate the safety and tolerability of molecular hydrogen, a promising antioxidant agent, in patients with early-stage Parkinson's Disease. The medication will be administered orally as 8 ounces of hydrogen-enriched drinking water twice a day over the course of one year.
The effect of periodontal disease on the general condition of patients remains today underestimated in Parkinson's disease. The BUCCO-PARK project aims to carry out an exploratory study of oral therapeutic education on the clinical evolution and fate of the microbiota of patients undergoing brain stimulation surgery. During the study, patients will follow the standard care pathway alone or combined with an oral therapeutic education. Biological samples will assess how the microbiota of these patients will be impacted. BUCCO-PARK aims to optimize the care of Parkinson's patients by integrating oral care.
The objective of this study is the longitudinal prospective clinical evaluation in patients with motor predominant PD; it will assess the individual disease progression (change) of the clinical and imaging parameters measured at 6-month interval over a minimum of 12 months.
This study aims at identifying potential new and innovative biomarkers in de novo Parkinson's disease patients. New finding will help phenotyping patients since the diagnosis of the disease and potentially also in the preclinical phase.
This is a multicenter, randomized, three-arm, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of pridopidine vs. placebo for the treatment of Levodopa Induced Dyskinesia (LID) in patients with Parkinson Disease.
