Filter by:Over the last years a rising medical need for treatment of chronic pain was identified. Based on previous findings indicating the pain modulating effects of cannabinoids in chronic pain disorders, this clinical trial investigates the long term efficacy and tolerability of the THC-focused nano endocannabinoid system modulator AP707 in patients with pain disorders due to diabetic polyneuropathy. Patients receive AP707 or placebo over the course of 14 weeks as an add-on to the standard of care. Changes in pain intensity, quality of life and sleep and others measures are monitored through different scales to assess the efficacy of AP707 in patients with chronic pain due to diabetic polyneuropathy.

Based on previous findings indicating the pain modulating effects of cannabinoids in chronic pain disorders, this clinical trial investigates the long term efficacy and tolerability of the THC-focused nano endocannabinoid system modulator AP707 in patients with chronic back pain disorders. Patients receive AP707 or placebo over the course of 14 weeks as an add-on to the standard of care. Changes in pain intensity, quality of life and sleep and others measures are monitored through different scales to assess the efficacy of AP707 in patients with chronic back pain.

Based on previous findings indicating the pain modulating effects of cannabinoids in chronic pain disorders, this clinical trial investigates the efficacy and tolerability of the THC-focused nano endocannabinoid system modulator AP707 in patients with chronic pain disorders due to central neuropathy of any genesis. Patients receive AP707 or placebo over the course of 14 weeks as an add-on to the standard of care. Changes in pain intensity, quality of life and sleep and others measures are monitored through different scales to assess the efficacy of AP707 in patients with chronic pain due to central neuropathy of any genesis.

Based on previous findings indicating the pain modulating effects of cannabinoids in chronic pain disorders, this clinical trial investigates the efficacy and tolerability of the THC-focused nano endocannabinoid system modulator AP707 in patients with chronic pain disorders due to traumatic or post-operative peripheral neuropathy. Patients receive AP707 or placebo over the course of 14 weeks as an add-on to the standard of care. Dealing with dental anxiety in children is the most problematic responsibilities for pedodontists in the dental office. Essential oils had been used for reducing dental anxiety in adults; this study is a challenge to understand their effects on children. Aromatherapy is considered as a reasonable, potent, safe, and non-pharmacological way, which has been taken into consideration, especially for children who are supposed to go through any dental procedure under local anesthesia. The aim of this study is to explore and compare the effect of Rosemary versus Lemongrass essential oils on dental anxiety levels and vital signs of children during dental anesthesia and extraction of a lower primary molar in a dental office. Forty-five children, aged between 4 to 7 years, who had a minimum of one mandibular primary molar with deep caries indicated for extraction were selected. Patients are divided, randomly, into three groups (15 children each): Group I (control group): with no interference before dental anesthesia and extraction, Group II (Rosemary group): children inhaled two drops of rosemary oil for 3 minutes before the procedures of dental anesthesia and extraction of a primary molar, Group III (Lemongrass group): children inhaled two drops of lemongrass oil, for 3 minutes before the procedure of dental anesthesia and extraction of a primary molar. Wong Baker Scale and the physiological measures of the children's anxiety will be evaluated and recorded for each child by measuring (pulse rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure) before, during and after the dental procedures.
The aim of this single-center prospective observational trial is to study the influence of physical and psychological factors on the intensity of pain syndrome after anorectal interventions and to determine the association between the physiological pain threshold before surgery and the level of pain syndrome after anorectal surgery. Participants undergoing surgical treatment for anorectal diseases will be asked to complete the questionnaires before and after surgery, all information will be collected to identify risk factors for severe pain syndrome after surgery. The pain threshold test will be conducted to determine the association with pain after surgery.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of muscle energy technique versus Maitland's mobilization on shoulder pain and disability after neck dissection surgeries.
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is is estimated to be around 1.5-3 per live birth, with prenatal factors accounting for 75% of cases. CP appears in early childhood and persists with age and is characterized by permanent lesions or abnormalities affecting the immature brain. It mainly occurs as a motor system disorder (e.g., abnormal movements or posture) with the presence of hemiplegia, diplegia or tetraplegia, and spastic, dyskinetic or atactic syndromes. .This study will explore the potential clinical benefits of the Molliimethod in children with cerebral palsy. Spasticity impacts balance and mobility, halts the patients quality of life and their ability to perform their activity of daily living, and could also increase the risk of fractures and falls. Available interventions that aim on improving spasticity are facing limitations such as varios side effects. Therefore, developing novel therapies such as the EXOPULSE Mollii Suit could help to overcome such limitations and noninvasively improve balance, mobility, quality of life and reduce spasticity and pain in children with CP.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about resilience coaching in adolescents with chronic musculoskeletal pain. The main questions it aims to answer are to 1) determine how helpful resilience coaching is for teens with chronic musculoskeletal pain, 2) which participants are best suited for resilience coaching, and 3) barriers and facilitators to implementing resilience coaching as part of routine clinical care. Participants will complete survey measures and participate in the resilience coaching intervention called Promoting Resilience in Stress Management (PRISM). Researchers will compare youth in PRISM to those receiving usual care to determine whether PRISM leads to greater improvements in functional disability, psychological distress, and pain intensity than usual care alone.
Premenstrual syndrome is the clinical condition in which reproductive age females suffer from emotional and physical symptoms not related to any disease, starting usually 5 days before the menstrual cycle for 3 consecutive cycles.
