The Randomized Controlled Trial of Bleep DreamPort-Eclipse Study is a two-arm, randomized, prospective, non-blinded study to assess the effectiveness of the novel CPAP human interface design to improve leak, AHI, and pressure compared to a traditional nasal mask.
Main objective of this study is to assess the psychometric characteristics of the Mutuality Scale both in patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS) and in their partners-The association between the mutuality score in OSAS patients and their adherence to the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy will also be investigated. The results of the study may allow a validation of the Mutuality Score as an instrument for measuring mutuality between OSAS patients and their partners.
The VicTor Study is a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled, 3-period, multiple-dose crossover study in participants with OSA.
OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) represents a major risk of postoperative complications. Predictive scores have been developed as the STOP-Bang score and the DES-OSA score. These scores take into account morphological parameters such as weight, height, and neck circumference. These data can be contained from the patients (self-reported) or by the measurements performed by a physician. The aim of this study is to compare the accuracy of both measurements (self-reported by the patient or measured by the physicians).
Nowadays, anesthetists may encounter many patients who are not diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) to undergo elective surgery. Recognition of these patients by anesthesiologists and taking necessary precautions will significantly reduce perioperative complications and mortality. STOP-BANG is a questionnaire used to predict high risk of OSAS. The aim of our study is to evaluate the clinical use of the oxygen reserve index as an early warning of possible desaturation in patients with low and high risk of OSAS according to the Stop Bang score.
The research topic is to explore the effectiveness of abdominal breathing on improving of depression, anxiety, and heart rate variability in obstructive sleep apnea patients with depressive symptoms. This study method adopts an experimental research design and divided into experimental group and control group by random sampling. Experimental group receives abdominal breathing training, whereas control group without receiving abdominal breathing training.

The study is designed to assess the usability of a novel CPAP human interface compared to a traditional nasal mask. Human subjects will interact with two different CPAP interfaces including a traditional CPAP mask and the 2nd generation DreamPort-Eclipse. Subjects will be requested to put on each of the different CPAP interface options a total of three times for a total of 6 trials. The order of device will be randomized.
