Filter by:This study aims to examine (a) the effects of mindfulness-based intervention on wellbeing including psychological, social, and emotional wellbeing, depressive symptoms, and stress and (b) the extent to which demographics, OSN use, and mindfulness mediate these effects.
The investigators will conduct an randomized controlled trial (RCT) among people with Parkinson disease (PD) and freezing of gait (FOG) to evaluate the feasibility of a mindfulness intervention compared to a educational program about FOG. FOG is a severe motor disturbance that prevents people from stepping normally and is associated with anxiety, frustration, sedentary behaviors, poorer quality of life, and falls. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based practice that creates a culture to reduce stress and anxiety by increasing conscious awareness and self-compassion. In this study, the investigators will develop a mindfulness-based walking intervention to address both mental health and mobility challenges that constitute FOG.
This research was planned to examine the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction program applied to parents with autistic children on the level of depression, anxiety, stress and hopelessness.
The purpose of the study is to:Translate a mindfulness program into Spanish for Latina patients with breast cancer.Train a community health worker to facilitate the mindfulness program. Determine if this program is culturally acceptable and feasible, and Obtain pilot data on the program's effectiveness in reducing anxiety and depression
The objective of this study is to determine whether a mindfulness coaching program was efficacious at reducing work stress, improving psychological and physical health outcomes, and improving work outcomes. The target population is employed adults (18 years and older) working in the industries of media, consulting, and healthcare.
This study will include any participant who registered, and plans to attend the Inner Engineering In-Person Completion Course. In 2019, this course was offered in: Los Angeles in March, Philadelphia in April and Toronto & Dallas in November. This study has been involved in every IECO Course since 2019 and is still active today. Beginning in August 2021, investigators will recruit for the August Inner Engineering In-Person Completion Course. Investigators anticipate that this study can include up to 5,000 study participants. Participants would attend this course and complete the pre-modules regardless of whether or not they participate in this study.
