Filter by:The Phase 2a Evolution study aims to assess the diagnostic accuracy of the OWL-EV1 Probe Breath Biopsy Test to differentiate between individuals with lung cancer and relevant contrast groups. The contrast groups will be representative of the clinical populations in which the test is intended to be used. Thus, Evolution Phase 2a will be designed as a cross-sectional, case-control trial that will be conducted at various sites, both in the UK and EU.
The goal of this pilot clinical trial is to test a disease-tailored, mindfulness-based intervention (Mindful Self-Compassion for Lung Cancer; MSC-LC) in adults diagnosed with lung cancer who are experiencing stigma. The current project seeks to: - Evaluate preliminary evidence for the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of MSC-LC in reducing stigma for adults with lung cancer, compared to a waitlist control condition - Elicit interventional impact not captured through quantitative measures with qualitative data from purposively sampled high responders and non-responders from the intervention condition Participants will randomized to either the MSC-LC intervention (a 10-week, virtually-delivered, group-based psychosocial intervention focused on the development of mindfulness and self-compassion skills) or to a waitlist control group that receives a referral to an NCI list of helpful mental health resources in their community. Researchers will compare the intervention and control groups to see if the MSC-LC intervention reduces lung cancer stigma and increases self-compassion.
The purpose of this study is to examine the short-term impact of Vocal Intonation Therapy (VIT) and Therapeutic Singing (TS) on respiratory function in patients with lung cancer. As a secondary outcome, this research will evaluate the effect of the music intervention on respiratory quality of life.
A prospective, open-label and parallel non-randomized control trial and biomarker research study is intended to compare incidence of repeated COVID-19 infection, severe pneumonitis and mortality between lung cancer patients undergoing systemic antitumor therapies who get vaccinated with 1 booster dose(majorly against XBB) and those who refuse. Meanwhile, a biomarker research is designed to monitor serum level dynamics of specific antibodies against COVID-19,analyze its correlation with incidence of breakthrough infection and further explore optimal periods for vaccination.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether availability of DNA Evaluation of Fragments for Early Interception (DELFI) Lung Cancer Screening Test, FirstLook™ to practicing physicians affects overall lung cancer screening rates among their patients who are recommended and eligible for screening based on 2021 United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) but are not up to date with it. DELFI hypothesized that patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who have FirstLook™ will have increased lung screening rates compared to patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who do not have access to FirstLook™.
This is a Phase 2, multi-center, open-label study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of VGT-309, a tumor-targeted, activatable fluorescent imaging agent, in subjects undergoing surgery for proven or suspected cancer in the lung. Approximately 100 subjects will be enrolled to ensure at least 86 subjects are evaluable with the option to expand enrollment by protocol amendment if deemed necessary by the DSC to meet primary and/or secondary objectives.
This study is a open-label, dose-escalating + dose-expansion clinical study, aiming to evaluate the safety and efficacy of CEA-targeted CART cell preparations, and to reliminarily observe the study drug in CEA-positive advanced malignant tumors. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of CART cell preparations for the treatment of patients with CEA-positive advanced malignancies were obtained and the recommended dose and infusion schedule.
This is an open label, Phase 1, dose escalation trial evaluating the safety of oncolytic adenovirus TILT-123 in combination with Pembrolizumab in patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor refractory non-small cell lung cancer.
To date, lung resection and lymphadenectomy remain the best curative option in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. Moreover, cancer screening programs have led to a frequent diagnoses of indeterminate lung lesions, many of which require surgical biopsy for diagnosis and intervention. Additionally, pre-operative imaging assessment frequently underestimates lymph-node involvement. Finally, the increase in the utilization of minimally invasive procedures remains mandatory. The aim of our project is to verify if Cetuximab-IRDye800 could detect cancer nodules and lymph node metastases during minimally invasive thoracic surgery. A result favoring the use of Cetuximab-IRDye800 would permit the use of a minimally invasive approach to a more significant number of patients, which are presently operable only by a traditional "open" approach. Consequentially, it would lead to an improvement in surgical outcomes, a reduction of costs, and an enhanced patient quality of life. In addition, a result favoring Cetuximab-IRDye800 could consent to correctly remove mislead metastatic lymph nodes (i.e., unexpected lymph-nodes metastasis) and neoplastic localization unidentified at pre-operative diagnostic assessments. It would lead to more accurate cancer staging, and a tailored post-operative treatment. Finally, the investigators expect to validate using Cetuximab-IRDye800 as an optimal tracker that can be easily applied intraoperatively during minimally invasive surgical procedures.
This is a study in adults from Asia with different types of advanced cancer (solid tumours). People can join the study if they have cancer of the stomach, large bowel and rectum, pancreas, liver, head and neck or non-small cell lung cancer. This is a study for people for whom previous treatment was not successful or no treatment exists. People can participate if their tumour has the B7-H6 marker. The purpose of this study is to find the highest dose of BI 765049 that people with advanced cancer can tolerate when taken (alone and) together with ezabenlimab. Another purpose is to check whether BI 765049 taken (alone and) together with ezabenlimab can make tumours shrink. Both medicines may help the immune system fight cancer. Participants can stay in the study up to 3 years, as long as they can tolerate it and can benefit from it. During this time, they visit the study site about every 3 weeks. At the study site they get BI 765049 alone or in combination with ezabenlimab as an infusion into a vein. BI 765049 is given in 3-week cycles, ezabenlimab is given once every 3 weeks. The doctors check the health of the participants and note any health problems that could have been caused by BI 765049 or ezabenlimab. Doctors regularly check the size of the tumour and check whether it has spread to other parts of the body.
