Intracardiac Versus Transesophageal Echocardiographic Guidance for Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion

ICETEE
Start date: December 14, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This single-center, prospective, randomized study will evaluate the safety and feasibility of Intracardiac echocardiography (ICE)-guided Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) when compared to the traditional Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) approach.

NCT ID: NCT06293430 Not yet recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Registry on Luma Vision's VERAFEYE System (ENLIgHT)

ENLIgHT
Start date: September 15, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of the study is to compile real-world data on the use of the VERAFEYE System in standard of care atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation procedures and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) procedures. Results from this study will be used to guide development of the VERAFEYE System.

NCT ID: NCT05931835 Not yet recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Feasibility Study on the VERAFEYE System

LUMINIzE
Start date: August 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the study is to evaluate the performance of the VERAFEYE System in subjects entitled to undergo a standard of care ablation or closure procedure. Results from this study will be used to guide development and refinement the VERAFEYE System. The study is not designed to collect data for product approval and as such does not have a safety or efficacy endpoint.

NCT ID: NCT05743322 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

The Usefulness of Biatrial 3D Printing to Plan Transseptal Puncture for the Left Atrial Appendage Closure

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to assess the usefulness of pre-procedural 3D printing of both atria to plan optimum site for transseptal puncture for the left atrial appendage closure.

NCT ID: NCT03568890 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Short-Term Anticoagulation Versus Antiplatelet Therapy for Preventing Device Thrombosis Following Left Atrial Appendage Closure

ANDES
Start date: September 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the study is to compare short-term (8 weeks) anticoagulation therapy (DOAC) vs. antiplatelet therapy for the prevention of device thrombosis following transcatheter LAAC.

NCT ID: NCT03409159 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Austrian Left Atrial Appendage Closure Registry

Start date: May 16, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion (LAAC) has been introduced to treat patients with indication of oral anticoagulation (OAC) for atrial fibrillation (AF) with contraindication to OAC. This registry aims to document all LAAC procedures in Austria.

NCT ID: NCT03399851 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Left Atrial Appendage Closure

Comparison of Amplatzer Amulet and Watchman Device in Patients Undergoing Left Atrial Appendage Closure. (SWISS-APERO)

SWISS-APERO
Start date: June 19, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) is an emerging therapeutic option in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients with high thromboembolic and bleeding risks. In Europe the devices most frequently utilized for LAAC are Amplatzer Amulet (St. Jude Medical-Abbott) and Watchman (Boston Scientific) system. However there are currently no randomized controlled trials assessing the degree of LAA closure between the two devices. The main purpose of this trial is to evaluate the feasibility and the efficacy of the devices in terms of LAA complete occlusion with a non-invasive imaging technique such as cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA).

NCT ID: NCT03147391 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

Left Atrial Appendage Closure With the LAmbre

Start date: April 14, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The study was to retrospectively analyse the efficacy and safety of LAA closure using the LAmbre in our center from April 2014 to November 2015.

NCT ID: NCT03088072 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation

A Pilot Study of Edoxaban in Patients With Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation and Left Atrial Appendage Closure

Start date: March 23, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a single arm, open label, single site study assessing the feasibility of post-procedural edoxaban therapy in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients after clinically indicated WATCHMAN left atrial appendage (LAA) closure.

NCT ID: NCT03040622 Completed - Clinical trials for Left Atrial Appendage Closure

The Evaluation of Thrombogenicity in Patients Undergoing WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure Trial

Start date: March 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will evaluate thrombogenicity in patients undergoing left atrial appendage closure using the WATCHMAN device. Parameters of thrombosis and platelet function, as well as other bio-markers, will be measure before, during, and after WATCHMAN implantation at several follow up visits.
