The study aims to observe the long-term changes of ocular(especially fundus) structure and visual function in patients with high myopia, so as to provide evidence for the prevention, diagnosis and prognosis of high myopia.
Currently, whether and when intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering medication should be used in progressive high myopia (HM) to control axial elongation is still a dilemma. Randomized trials are required to evaluate whether IOP lowering influences the growth of axial length in progressive HM eyes.
Approximately 60 participants at Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University during October,2021 to January 2022 will be enroll in the investigators' study. And dived them randomly into 2 groups:High myopia with axial length between 26 mm and 28 mm and High myopia with axial length more than 28 mm (30 eyes) .
This is a randomized controlled trial to investigate the effect of capsular tension ring (CTR) implantation on intraocular lens (IOL) tilt and decentration in cataract patients with high myopia.
The purpose of this study is to assess the primary safety and efficacy of High Myopic Posterior Scleral Fixation System in the treatment of macular schisis caused by high myopia.
Objective: to evaluate the efficacy of different concentrations of atropine eye drops in controlling the progression (diopter, axial length) of high myopia in young children, and to compare the compliance, adverse reaction and regression rate of different concentrations of atropine eye drops in myopia control. Intervention: Group 1 (0.01% atropine group), Group 2 (0.04% atropine group), Group 3 (0.1% atropine group). During the 2-year intervention period after entering the group, each concentration of atropine eye drops were given every night at a fixed time before going to bed, one drop each time, implemented by parents (supervision), and the wechat small program was completed.
Currently, whether and when intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering medication should be used in glaucoma suspects with high myopia (HM) is still a dilemma. Randomized trials are required to evaluate whether IOP lowering influences the incidence of glaucoma suspect progression in HM eyes.
Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) was introduced in 2011 using the VISUMAX femtosecond laser (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany). It is designed for correction of myopia and myopic astigmatism. It involves the creation of a corneal tissue disk called lenticule and its extraction through a minimally invasive incision, utilizing only a femtosecond laser. This enables rapid visual recovery with very little discomfort to the patient. This observational case series monitors visual and refractive outcomes of myopic correction for more than -7.75 D. It is to - gather long-term results and refractive stability - detect rare complications or side-effects - evaluate the efficacy in a large number of patients
This project aims to investigate/examine high myopic subjects on full correction ortho-k (using Topaz ortho-k lenses for high myopia) compared to subjects undergoing partial reduction ortho-k and their relationship with myopia and myopic progression.
