3D Visualization System in Highly Myopic Cataract Operation

3D-HiMCO
Start date: June 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate the impact of depth of field differences between the use of the 3D imaging system (NGENUITY® 3D Visualization System, Alcon, TX, USA) and conventional optical microscope in cataract surgery for highly myopic patients on intraoperative parameters and outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT06204211 Completed - High Myopia Clinical Trials

Genetic Research on High Myopic Individuals in Northern China

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

HM, which can dramatically cripple the eyesight of those affected, is a rampant ophthalmic disorder around the globe. It is in recent years that substantial studies covering the relationship between distinct variations and HM susceptibility sprang expeditiously. However, these studies have not yielded sufficiently credible and universally significant conclusions. Consequently, the study is conducted by including HM subjects residing in Northern China to explicitly illustrate this issue.

NCT ID: NCT06162234 Recruiting - High Myopia Clinical Trials

Wuhan High Myopia Study

LOVE-WH
Start date: December 25, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The study aims to observe the long-term changes of ocular(especially fundus) structure and visual function in patients with high myopia, so as to provide evidence for the prevention, diagnosis and prognosis of high myopia.

NCT ID: NCT05947019 Not yet recruiting - High Myopia Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Low-Level Monochromatic Red-Light for High Myopia Control in Adults

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical study is to confirm the effectiveness and safety of low-level monochromatic red-light for high myopia control in adults

NCT ID: NCT05850936 Recruiting - High Myopia Clinical Trials

Effect of IOP Lowering on Progressive HM

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Currently, whether and when intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering medication should be used in progressive high myopia (HM) to control axial elongation is still a dilemma. Randomized trials are required to evaluate whether IOP lowering influences the growth of axial length in progressive HM eyes.

Screening and Identification of Biomarkers for High Myopia by a Rapid Method

Start date: March 20, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To screen and identify sensitive biomarkers for high myopia via a robust, convenient, and cost-effective approach according to the association between high myopia and concentration of biomarkers in tear fluid, saliva and blood among adults and children.

NCT ID: NCT05768152 Not yet recruiting - Eye Diseases Clinical Trials

Repeated Low-Level Red-Light Therapy Shortens Axial Length
