Safety and Efficacy of Camrelizumab (Anti-PD-1 Antibody) in Recurrent HCC After Liver Transplantation

Start date: September 21, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective clinical study to investigate the safety and efficacy of anti-PD-1 immunotherapy (Camrelizumab) in patients with recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after liver transplantation. All of the enrolled patients have a background of liver transplantation for HCC. Due to the tumor recurrence, patients are not suitable for curative surgical resection, and targeted therapy provides poor therapeutic effect, leading to tumor progression or intolerance. Before immunotherapy, the PD-L1 expression was confirmed negative in the graft liver by immunohistochemistry, and patients continued targeted therapy as part of a combined antitumor regimen. In addition, the immunosuppression schedule is also reduced to a low level.

NCT ID: NCT04563338 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

An Exploratory Study of Atezolizumab and Bevacizumab in Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer With Liver Metastases (INTEGRATE)

Start date: June 4, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is being done to look at how effective the drug, atezolizumab, with or without the drug bevacizumab, is for people with inoperable liver cancer or non-small lung cancer that has spread to the liver. This will be done by looking at the duration of time from starting the study drug(s) until the cancer worsens in study participants. This study will collect blood and tumor tissue samples from participants to look at changes to their tumor(s) before and after receiving atezolizumab and/or bevacizumab.

NCT ID: NCT04550481 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Role of Lisinopril in Preventing the Progression of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, RELIEF-NAFLD Study

Start date: May 11, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial investigates how well lisinopril may work in preventing the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). NAFLD is a condition where there is an accumulation of fatty cells in the liver. NAFLD increases a person's risk of developing liver cancer. Liver fibrosis is the common finding of chronic liver diseases leading to reduced liver function. Lisinopril is a medication that is commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Lisinopril may help to decrease liver fibrosis. The purpose of this trial is to find out what effect, if any, lisinopril has on a patient's risk of developing liver cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04531228 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

TACE-HAIC Plus Lenvatinib for Patients With Unresectable HCC: an Open-label, Single-arm, Phase 2 Trial

Thalen
Start date: October 11, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most commonly malignant tumors around the world. Hepatic resection or liver transplantation is the radical method to cure the disease. However, due to multiple tumors or poor hepatic function reserve in cirrhosis, surgical treatment is suitable for early-stage and well reserved liver function patients. Therefore, in clinical practice, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a preferential and standard treatment of unresectable HCC. TACE has been proved to provide outstanding efficacy for treating advanced stage HCC patients. However, TACE is associated with a high rate of treatment failure for advanced HCC patients. EACH trial opened the door to FOLFOX-based system chemotherapy for advanced HCC patients. Recently, investigators have showed that hepatic arterial infusion of FOLFOX-based chemotherapy (HAIC) was safe and efficient for advanced HCC patients. The combination of TACE with HAIC (TACE-HAIC) was proved to increase the local doses of chemotherapeutic agents in the liver, reduce the viability of HCC cells and increase the hepatectomy rate in our previous study. Levatinib is a new treatment and offers relative high overall response rate for advanced HCC, which was approved in China and Japan. However, whether the combination of TACE-HAIC and Lenvatinib would increse tumor control for unresectable patients is still unknown. Thus, this single arm, phase 2 study is designed to analyze the safety and efficacy TACE-HAIC plus Lenvatinib for patients with unresectalbe HCC.

NCT ID: NCT04525833 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

NCT ID: NCT04521153 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Camrelizumab Combined With Apatinib Mesylate for Perioperative Treatment of Resectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: March 25, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver cancer. Hepatectomy is a curable and effective method. However, the recurrence rate is as high as 50%~70% in 5 years after surgery. Perioperative treatment with immunotherapy combined with target therapy is expected to improve the patient's prognosis. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of camrelizumab combined with apatinib mesylate in the perioperative period of resectable hepatocellular carcinoma. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the rate of subjects with major pathological response and 3-year event-free survival (EFS) of camrelizumab combined with apatinib mesylate in the perioperative period of hepatocellular carcinoma (CNLC Ib-IIIa). The secondary research purpose is to evaluate the R0 resection rate, the rate of subjects with pathological complete response, EFS, overall survival and disease-free survival of camrelizumab combined with apatinib mesylate in the perioperative period of resectable hepatocellular carcinoma. The safety and tolerability is also evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT04520906 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: December 17, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Through the implementation of prospective, multi-center, single-group target value research to verify the safety and effectiveness of the microwave ablation treatment system for the ablation treatment of primary liver cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04518852 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

TACE, Sorafenib and PD-1 Monoclonal Antibody in the Treatment of HCC

Start date: September 14, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related death that ranks sixth in terms of incident cases, with an overall 5 years survival of 18%. Despite a significant improvement in treatment strategy, the overall survival of HCC remains low due to high recurrence, progressive liver dysfunction and the high fatality of the disease. Surgical resection has been applied in a number of patients; however, surgery has been associated with a high incidence of recurrence (approximately 70% within 5 years). TACE is generally applied on intermediate-stage HCC. However, TACE is not satisfied with improving overall survival. Therefore, there is an urgent need for effective treatment for these patients. At present, the overall objective response rate (ORR) of single or sequential therapy is not satisfied, and the over survival (OS) improvement is not ideal. Therefore, combined therapy maybe the good choice for patients with advanced HCC. This study focuses on the in-operable, BCLC-B/C HCC patients. Through the combination of local therapy (TACE), anti-angiogenic therapy (Sorafenib), and immunotherapy (PD-1 monoclonal antibody), it is expected to change the tumor microenvironment, restore the immune response, strengthen the anti-tumor effect of various treatments, and improve the therapeutic efficacy in patients with BCLC-B/C HCC.
