Filter by:The goal of this clinical trial is to explore the impact of a 16-week aerobic exercise regimen on the autonomic nervous system and endothelial function in patients with compensated cirrhosis who maintain sedentary lifestyles. The primary research question is: 1) What effect does 16 weeks of aerobic exercise have on changes in the autonomic nervous system and endothelial function in cirrhotic patients? Additionally, the secondary research questions are: 1. How does a 16-week aerobic exercise program influence changes in muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance in cirrhotic patients? 2. Is there a correlation between muscle mass and parameters of the autonomic nervous system in cirrhotic patients? Participants in the intervention group will undergo 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise per week for 16 weeks, accompanied by a personalized nutritional plan (1.2 grams of protein per kilogram of ideal body weight per day and a calorie intake of 35 kilocalories per kilogram of ideal body weight per day). The control group will solely receive nutritional guidance and maintain their sedentary lifestyle. The researchers will compare outcomes between these two groups.
The aim of the study is to find factors associated with sinus rhythm maintenance after catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.
Purpose: This study aims to determine the impact of mindfulness-based stress reduction programs on sleep quality, stress level and heart rate variability of university students Design: The study was planned as an experimental study with a randomized control group, using pre-test, post-test and follow-up test. Hypotheses: H1: The sleep quality level scores of the students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will increase compared to the students in the control group. H2: Students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will decrease their stress level level scores compared to the students in the control group. H3: The heart rate variability of the students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will be higher than the students in the control group. H4: The sleep quality level posttest and follow-up scores of the students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will increase compared to their pretest scores. H5: The stress level posttest and follow-up scores of the students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will increase according to their pretest scores. H6: The heart rate variability level posttest and follow-up scores of the students in the intervention group participating in the mindfulness-based stress reduction initiative will increase according to their pretest scores.
This study was planned to explain the relationship between heart rate variability and their sportive performance in basketball players.
Determine effect of AVACEN 100 on brachial artery blood flow and heart rate variability
National Taiwan University Hospital is the leading center for care of patients with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The predictable factors associated with outcomes are still lacking in patients with the ECMO support. The aim of this study is to collect the electrical signals stored in the monitor of intensive care units (ICUs), which are analyzed by the bio-informatics software. The pre-, peri-, and post-ECMO heart rate variability, including linear and non-linear analysis is calculated to address the association with outcomes of patients with ECMO. In addition, we collected the demographics, body temperature, respiratory rate, and blood pressure to investigate the causes of heart rate variability.
