Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effect of CPAP therapy on esophageal pH and lung inflammation in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and sleep apnea.

NCT ID: NCT05346393 Recruiting - Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Trials

HRS-AKI Treatment With TIPS in Patients With Cirrhosis

Liver-HERO
Start date: November 29, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study compares the effectiveness and safety of TIPS implantation in patients with HRS-AKI (stage 2 and 3) and liver cirrhosis with standard therapy (drug therapy with terlipressin + albumin).

NCT ID: NCT05342350 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

International Study of High-Risk Patients for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Using Liquid Biopsy

STOP-HCC
Start date: April 15, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This study has two purposes. One is to conduct a phase IV biomarker validation study in which the investigators will prospectively survey a cohort of patients at risk for liver cancer using semi-annual abdominal ultrasound and GALAD Score for 5 years. The GALAD score is a serum biomarker-based panel that can aid in early detection among patients with a high risk for liver cancer. One is to establish a bio-repository of longitudinally collected bio-specimens from patients with fibrosis/cirrhosis as a reference set for future research.

NCT ID: NCT05339269 Recruiting - Cirrhosis, Liver Clinical Trials

The Effect of Laparoscopic Splenectomy on the Immune Function for Cirrhosis Patients

ELSI
Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study, the investigators compared the improvement of and azygoportal disconnection related indicators in patients with liver cirrhosis after laparoscopic splenectomy. To determine whether surgical treatment can help enhance postoperative immune function and improve patient prognosis.

NCT ID: NCT05338294 Recruiting - Cirrhosis, Liver Clinical Trials

The Effect of Laparoscopic Splenectomy and Azygoportal Disconnection on the Immune Function for Cirrhosis Patients

ELSDI
Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study, the investigators compared the improvement of immune function related indicators in patients with liver cirrhosis after laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection. To determine whether surgical treatment can help enhance postoperative immune function and improve patient prognosis.

NCT ID: NCT05335213 Recruiting - Liver Cirrhosis Clinical Trials

Urinary Tract Infections in Cirrhosis

Start date: January 5, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Evaluate the prevalence and types of urinary tract infections, the features of the gut and urinary tract microbiota in cirrhosis, to assess its importance in the development of complications and outcomes of cirrhosis.

NCT ID: NCT05331729 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Evaluation of the Value of 18F-Fluoromisonidazole (18F-FMISO) Positron Emission Tomography Hypoxia Imaging in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

FIPOXY
Start date: March 20, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a rare, chronic, lethal disease of unknown etiology and with a variable course. There is currently no test in routine care that can assess both the anatomical and functional damage of the disease at an early stage. This is the first human study in IPF to evaluate the value of a non-invasive tracer, 18F-fluoromisonidazole (18F-FMISO), targeting hypoxia in IPF patients. This is a Phase I, proof-of-concept, single-center, open-label, parallel group study. It will include 2 groups: - 1 group of 10 IPF patients - 1 group of 10 healthy volunteers matched to IPF patients for age and gender

NCT ID: NCT05331300 Recruiting - Pulmonary Fibrosis Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Preliminary Efficacy, and Pharmacokinetic Properties of LASN01 in Healthy Subjects and in Patients With Pulmonary Fibrosis or Thyroid Eye Disease

Start date: June 6, 2022
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

LASN01 is a novel, fully human antibody directed against the human IL-11 receptor that is being developed to address the fibro-inflammatory pathology of pulmonary fibrosis and TED. This study is a four-part trial consisting of Parts A, B, C and D. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of LASN01, and the secondary objective is to evaluate the preliminary efficacy, immunogenicity, and pharmacokinetics of single and multiple doses of LASN01 in healthy participants and in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or progressive fibrosing interstitial lung disease (PF-ILD) or Thyroid Eye disease (TED). Please note that the Phase 1 (single and multiple ascending dose, SAD/MAD) portion in healthy subjects is completed and the Phase 2a portion in patients is actively recruiting.

NCT ID: NCT05330923 Recruiting - HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials

Effect of NNRTI or INSTI on Nonalcoholic Steatosis in HIV/AIDS Patients

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Identifying patients at risk of NAFLD(Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease), especially severe disease with NASH(nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) and fibrosis, is critical. Prevalence of NAFLD in PLWH(People Living With HIV) evaluated by different imaging techniques including US (ultrasonography), elastography, CT(computed tomography ), and magnetic resonance varies from 13% to 58.6% in all published studies. In previous studies, the effect of ART(Anti-Retroviral Therapy) on NAFLD was limited. A cross-sectional analysis found that INSTI(Integrase strand transfer inhibitor) was associated with a higher prevalence of steatosis in AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) patients. However, it is not clear whether there is a difference in the degree of nonalcoholic steatosis between AIDS patients receiving NNRTI(non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors). Therefore, the investigators plan to conduct a prospective study to assess whether there is any difference in the degree of nonalcoholic steatosis and fibrosis between Chinese HIV(human immunodeficiency virus)/AIDS patients after initial treatment with NNRTI or INSTI, or switching from NNRTI to INSTI.
