NCT ID: NCT03842982 Recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) in Ovarian Cancer (CHIPPI)

CHIPPI
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase III, multicenter, interventional and randomized study which evaluates the use of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) coupled with either Primary Debulking Surgery (PDS) or Interval Debulking Surgery (IDS), in patients with ovarian cancer. This study aims to assess the efficacy, in terms of disease-free survival (DFS), the use of HIPEC combined with standard care (PDS or IDS) or standard care alone.

NCT ID: NCT03793205 Recruiting - Gynecologic Cancer Clinical Trials

G-CSF for the Prevention of Febrile Neutropenia in Gynecologic Cancer Patients

Start date: January 3, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to analyze the effects of long-acting granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) on the prevention febrile neutropenia (FN) in gynecologic cancer patients. Patients all accepted platinum-based chemotherapy 3-4 weeks once per course. The primary end is the incidence of FN in every course of chemotherapy. After the chemotherapy, patients accepted long-acting G-CSF and/or short-acting G-CSF. The secondary ends include: the incidences of myelosuppression, doses of G-CSF and its expenses, visits to outpatient and emergency clinics, adverse events related to G-CSF.

NCT ID: NCT03749850 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Image-guided Targeted Doxorubicin Delivery With Hyperthermia to Optimize Loco-regional Control in Breast Cancer

i-GO
Start date: March 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

In this phase I feasibility study, the investigators evaluate the combination of lyso-thermosensitive liposomal doxorubicin (LTLD, ThermoDox) with local hyperthermia and cyclophosphamide (C), for the local treatment of the primary breast tumour in patients with metastatic breast cancer. When heated to 40-43 degrees Celsius (ºC), LTLD releases a very high concentration of doxorubicin locally within seconds. Hyperthermia of the primary tumour will be induced by Magnetic Resonance guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (MR-HIFU) on a dedicated Sonalleve MR-HIFU breast system. The investigators hypothesize that by substituting doxorubicin (A) in the AC-chemotherapy regimen for the combination of LTLD and MR-HIFU induced hyperthermia, optimal local tumour control can be achieved without compromising systemic toxicity or efficacy. This will be the first study to evaluate LTLD with MR-HIFU hyperthermia in breast cancer patients.

NCT ID: NCT03740464 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

Long-acting G-CSF for Febrile Neutropenia

Start date: November 10, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to analyze the effects of long-acting granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) on the prevention febrile neutropenia (FN) in epithelial ovarian cancer. Patients are randomized into study group and control group. In study group, patients accept long-acting G-CSF 48 hours from the chemotherapy. While the control group accept regular treatment rather than long-acting G-CSF. The primary end is the incidence of FN in every course of chemotherapy. The secondary ends include: the incidences of myelosuppression, doses of G-CSF and its expenses, visits to outpatient and emergency clinics, adverse events related to G-CSF.

NCT ID: NCT03655561 Recruiting - Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Trials

Lassa Fever Clinical Course and Prognostic Factors in Nigeria

LASCOPE
Start date: April 5, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The investigators propose to conduct a nationwide (Nigeria), prospective, non-interventional cohort study describing the clinical course, biological characteristics, case management and outcomes in patients hospitalized for a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Lassa fever in tertiary medical facilities situated in the most affected Nigerian states. Special focuses will be made on situations at risk of bad outcome such as pregnancies, acute kidney injury and electrolytic imbalance in patients with confirmed Lassa fever. Participants for which the diagnosis of Lassa fever will be finally excluded by reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) will constitute the control group.

NCT ID: NCT03609398 Recruiting - Rift Valley Fever Clinical Trials

Phase 2 Safety and Immunogenicity Study of Rift Valley Fever Vaccine

RVF
Start date: October 4, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is to collect safety and immunogenicity data for an Rift Valley Fever (RVF) vaccine

NCT ID: NCT03604614 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy

Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy for Advanced Gastric Cancer With Peritoneal Metastatis

Start date: June 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The incidence rate of gastric cancer is high in Southeast Asia, so is the mortality rate.Due to the lack of specific performance, about 5%-20% of patients have found peritoneal metastases at the time of first diagnosis. At present, clinical studies on HIPEC in the treatment of patients with advanced gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis are almost related to abdominal perfusion after laparoscopic gastrectomy.Herein, we conduct a single-centre randomized controlled trial to explore the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic exploration combined with HIPEC in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis.

NCT ID: NCT03600025 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Typhoid Fever Patients and Healthy Volunteers to Receive Typbar-TCV Vaccine

Cellular Immune Responses in Typhoid Fever Patients and Vaccinees

Start date: July 15, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Typhoid fever caused by Salmonella Typhi and Paratyphi causes over 21 million cases of febrile illness and 200,000 deaths are attributed to enteric fever each year. Typhoid fever is an enteric infection that results in febrile illness. Typhoid fever causes significant morbidity in the developing world especially young children.S. Typhi specific antibody responses are elicited in typhoid fever and following typhoid vaccination. Cross-reactive multifunctional CD+4 T cell mediated IL-17 responses have been shown in typhoid fever. As S. Typhi as an intracellular pathogen, cellular immune responses might be central to protection. S. Typhi peptide subunit vaccine elicits CD+4 T cell responses that correlate with protection in mice. The role of mucosal associated invariant T cell (MAIT) and natural killer (NK) cell responses in typhoid fever or following vaccination remain poorly understood. Transcriptome profiling of human immune responses to S. Typhi infection is not clearly understood. Establishing successful infection by S. Typhi evasion of T cell and neutrophil responses need to be investigated to better understand the correlates of protection.
