NCT ID: NCT06129877 Enrolling by invitation - Gastrostomy Clinical Trials

CHAMP App Feeding Difficulties Repository

Start date: November 9, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This repository will consist of home monitoring data, videos, and images of patients with feeding difficulties for asynchronous remote patient monitoring of manually entered data sent by parents to the healthcare team using the CHAMP App for children with feeding difficulties. This information will be collected under a research protocol and this repository is for future research applications.

NCT ID: NCT06067763 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Overweight and Obesity

Project Health: Enhancing Effectiveness of an Obesity Prevention Program

Start date: January 30, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This 2-site effectiveness trial will test whether a brief dissonance-based obesity prevention program delivered in single sex groups combined with food response and attention training will produce significantly larger weight gain prevention effects than an educational video control condition. An effectiveness trial is important to test whether this program reduces risk for unhealthy weight gain when delivered by real world clinicians under ecologically valid conditions, which is an important step toward broad implementation. A secondary aim focuses on eating disorder symptom prevention effects. A sample of 17-20 year olds with weight concerns (N = 120) will be randomized to single sex Project Health groups with food response and attention training or an educational video control condition. Participants will complete assessments at baseline, posttest, and 6- and 12-month follow ups.

NCT ID: NCT06052891 Enrolling by invitation - Feeding Disorders Clinical Trials

CHAMP For the Feeder: Tube Feeding Study

Start date: November 9, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Single site evidence-based implementation of a mHealth application for remote patient monitoring for pediatric patients ready to wean from tube feedings (TFs). The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the CHAMP® ("CHAMP App") software platforms' expansion into TF weaning through Children's Mercy (CM) Kansas City's interdisciplinary feeding team (IDC). The investigators will use the current standard of care rates of tube weaning success, time to weaning, and healthcare team communication to evaluate the change after the implementation of the evidence-based CHAMP App. For equipoise of access, the study team will provide access in this pre-post design for parent/legally authorized representative (LAR)- child family access and use the CHAMP App software platform as soon as possible.

NCT ID: NCT05814653 Enrolling by invitation - Eating Disorders Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate Primary Care Treatment for Adolescent Eating Disorders

Start date: September 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of a new treatment for children and adolescents with eating disorders characterized by dietary restriction and/or weight loss or failure to gain expected weight. NCT ID: NCT05664529 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Postpartum Depression

Mother-Child Interactions During Feeding

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The feeding process is based on a mutual relationship and interaction, as it takes place with the active participation of the child and the parent. Feeding problems are among the most common behavioral problems in early childhood. Inappropriate eating habits can cause growth retardation, unhealthy food preferences, and obesity. Parent-child interaction during feeding is particularly important in developing healthy feeding behavior. The aim of this study is to evaluate the interaction between mother and child during feeding, by using the Feeding Scale in Turkish children aged 6-36 months. A cross sectional, observational study will be conducted to explore mother-child relationship during feeding period by using Chatoor Feeding Scale.

NCT ID: NCT05553574 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Food Response-inhibition

Inhibitory Capabilities Among Women With Eating Disorders

Start date: March 8, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of the study is to increase the flexible behavior toward food via inhibition training among restrained eaters. The expectation is that the train will increase food consumption, decrease food-related anxiety and affect implicit attitudes towards palatable foods

NCT ID: NCT05539807 Enrolling by invitation - Eating Disorders Clinical Trials

Mindfulness and Eating Disorder Symptoms

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This prospective one-arm study aims to examine short and long-term changes in dysfunctional eating among individuals who signed up for an 8-week, group based, low threshold, mindfulness-based intervention. The study is an extension of a quality assurance project which was provided by a nation-wide self-help organization for people with self-identified eating problems. Eating disorder symptoms and the proposed predictors (self-kindness, self-judgment and mindfulness) were registered online at 12 measurement time points. In the current study we will invite the same participants to complete the same measures four years after the intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05249270 Enrolling by invitation - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study aims to examine effectiveness of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) on sensory, digestive, and eating behaviors in children currently receiving therapy.

NCT ID: NCT04869423 Enrolling by invitation - Eating Disorders Clinical Trials

Animal-Assisted Therapy in Adolescents With Eating Disorders

Start date: April 30, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to improve eating disorders symptomatology, mental, psychosocial and physical health, quality of life, strength and body composition of adolescents with eating disorders by the development of a dog-assisted therapy program. The current research will involve thirty-two patients distributed equally in a control and an experimental group. The intervention group will participate once a week in a dog-assisted therapy of seven weeks. Moreover, all the included patients will participate in an assessment session before and after the intervention to compare the effects of the dog-assisted therapy within and between groups in anxiety, depression, character, behavior, eating disorder evolution, health-related quality of life, treatment satisfaction, strength and body composition. Based on previous studies on different populations, it is expected that, compared to the control group, the experimental group may experience a potential reduction in anxiety, depression and symptoms, while improving quality of life, strength, body composition and behavior.
