NCT ID: NCT05917379 Active, not recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

The Safety and Efficacy of FMT in Patients With CID

Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about The safety and efficacy of fecal microbiota transplantation in patients with chronic insomnia disorder. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - Safety of the FMT oral capsule pathway in the clinical treatment of chronic insomnia - Effectiveness of the FMT oral capsule route for patients with chronic insomnia Participants in the intervention group will be given FMT by boral capsule pathway, and in the control group will be given the same appearance capsules containing vitamins. Researchers will compare the sleep status(PSQI and PSG)of the patients in both groups.

NCT ID: NCT05607745 Active, not recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Dietary Counseling Coupled With FMT in the Treatment of Obesity and NAFLD - the DIFTOB Study

DIFTOB
Start date: October 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

There are several studies performed to reveal the linkage between diet, fecal microbiota, and obesity. Human fecal microbiota transplantations in this asset are still scarce. Therefore, this pilot study of FMT from lean to obese people with dietary counseling will increase the knowledge, whether FMT could play a role in the treatment of obesity and NAFLD. Our primary outcome is the changes in glucose metabolism by HOMA-IR.

NCT ID: NCT04173208 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Fecal Microbiota Transplantation

Main Trial of the Cesarean Section and Intestinal Flora of the Newborn Study

MT-SECFLOR
Start date: November 10, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study the investigators assess whether, in CS-delivered infants, the intestinal microbiome could be successfully and safely normalised by postnatal oral transfer of maternal fecal microbiome.

NCT ID: NCT03125564 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Irritable Bowel Syndrome

FMT for Patients With IBS With Fecal and Mucosal Microbiota Assessment

Start date: April 12, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional bowel disorder of the gastrointestinal tract affecting up to 20 percent of the adolescent and adult populations. It is characterised by abdominal pain, irregular bowel habits, altered stool consistencies and bloating, and is associated with impaired quality of life. IBS can be categorised into diarrhoea predominant type (IBS-D), constipation predominant type (IBS-C), and mixed type (IBS-M). Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) defined as infusion of feces from healthy donors to affected subjects has shown impressive results with high cure rates in patients with recurrent clostridium difficile infections. The investigators propose a randomised, placebo-controlled trial of FMT in patients with IBS.
