NCT ID: NCT03754582 Completed - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

A Study of Intravenous Perampanel in Japanese Participants With Epilepsy

Start date: November 27, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of perampanel administered as a 30-minute intravenous infusion after switching from oral tablets (8 to 12 milligrams per day [mg/day]) as an adjunctive therapy in participants with epilepsy with partial onset seizures (POS) (including secondarily generalized seizures) or primary generalized tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures.

NCT ID: NCT03753035 Recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Observance of Anticonvulsant Treatments and Quality of Life of Epileptic Children

ObEPI
Start date: November 29, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

There is little epidemiological data in the literature on the therapeutic compliance of epileptic children. Yet it is a fundamental issue in the therapeutic education and balance of this pathology. To obtain more epidemiological precision on the observance of epileptic children and to propose, according to the factors involved, the improvement of practices (therapeutic education ..). Propose an evaluation of the quality of life of their children by a suitable self-questionnaire.

NCT ID: NCT03747705 Not yet recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Trial for Epilepsy Patients Non-responsive to AEDs Using Medical App

Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Trial for epilepsy patients non-responsive to AEDs, using medical app reminding patients to take their physician-prescribed medications

NCT ID: NCT03745118 Completed - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Development of a Practical, Minimally Invasive Seizure Gauge

Start date: November 19, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The researchers are trying to assess changes in physiological signals before and during seizures.

NCT ID: NCT03742661 Active, not recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Impact of SPEAC® System Data on Therapeutic Decisions Related to Convulsive Seizure Patients With a New Diagnosis

Start date: November 2, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open label, randomized, prospective study of the impact on healthcare utilization of a surface Electromyography (sEMG) based seizure monitoring and alerting system for Veterans with a history of motor seizures (epileptic, non-epileptic or unknown) with upper extremity motor involvement, presenting with questionable spell characterization, taking place in the home setting.

NCT ID: NCT03741205 Not yet recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Impact of SPEAC® System Data on Therapeutic Decisions Related to Convulsive Seizure Patients With a Recent Non-diagnostic EMU Visit

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open label, randomized, prospective study of the impact on healthcare utilization of a surface Electromyography (sEMG) based seizure monitoring and alerting system for Veterans with seizures with upper extremity motor involvement, who have had a recent non-diagnostic EMU stay.

NCT ID: NCT03739840 Terminated - Clinical trials for Drug-Resistant Epilepsy

A Study to Test the Efficacy and Safety of Padsevonil as Treatment of Focal-onset Seizures in Adult Subjects With Drug-resistant Epilepsy

DUET
Start date: March 6, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of the 3 selected dose regimens of padsevonil (PSL) administered concomitantly with up to 3 anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) compared with placebo for treatment of observable focal-onset seizures in subjects with drug-resistant epilepsy.

NCT ID: NCT03738072 Recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Intracerebral Electrical Stimulation and the Optimisation of Presurgical Planning in Drug-refractory Partial Epilepsy

StiMiC
Start date: November 14, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients with drug-refractory epilepsy sometimes need to be implanted with intracerebral electrodes in order to identify their seizure onset zone. During this procedure, direct electrical brain stimulations represent a standard clinical practice to assess seizure sensitivity and for functional mapping. This study aims at assessing if extending the range of stimulation frequencies of the usual clinical frequencies is of benefit for the definition of the seizure onset zone and hence for the presurgical planning.

NCT ID: NCT03731455 Completed - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

WISE Cortical Strip for Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring

WIN
Start date: April 9, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The WIN Study is a prospective, interventional, multi-center, open-label premarket study designed to confirm the safety, performance and intended use of the WISE Cortical Strip (WCS) for CE certification purposes. Participants with documented diagnosis of epilepsy or brain tumor requiring intracranial surgery, who meet all eligibility criteria, will undergo IntraOperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) during a neurosurgical intervention with the WCS and a comparator device.

NCT ID: NCT03712475 Completed - Fibromyalgia Clinical Trials

Pharmacokinetics of Two Formulation of Pregabalin

Start date: January 19, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

A Randomized, Single-Dose, Parallel-Group Study to Evaluate the Pharmacokinetic Profiles of Two Formulations of Pregabalin after Oral Administration in Healthy Volunteers under Fasting Conditions
