Filter by:The aim of this study was to reduce the anxiety and pain felt during endometrial biopsy procedure.
The purpose of this study is to determine if COL-1077 (10% lidocaine vaginal bioadhesive gel) will be effective as an acute-use anesthetic and can decrease the pain intensity associated with gynecologic procedures using endometrial biopsy as a representative procedure.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential benefits in implantation, clinical pregnancy and live birth rates by an endometrial biopsy prior to an IVF/ICSI treatment. Including a follow up on possible pregnancy complications and data on children at birth. Further it is planned to aspirate secretions from the uterus and take blood samples during the treatment, which presumably can provide information about the mechanisms underlying the possible effect of the treatment.
The purpose of this study to determine effectiveness of paracervical block, lidocaine spray and only oral analgesic drugs for pain relief during endometrial biopsy.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether using Misoprostol vaginally before an office endometrial biopsy is performed, will make it easier, more successful and less painful to do the procedure. The investigators' hypothesis is that vaginal Misoprostol 12 hours prior to endometrial biopsy will increase the ease of performing office endometrial biopsy by reducing the need to use a tenaculum or a cervical dilator to achieve passage of a biopsy pipelle.
An endometrial biopsy involves a thin tube being passed through the cervix (opening of the uterus) to obtain a sample of the lining of the uterus. Sometimes there may be discomfort with this procedure especially if the cervix is not dilated or opened. Previous research has suggested that taking a drug called misoprostol may help the cervix to start to dilate or open. This study will see if misoprostol will help open the cervix for an endometrial biopsy, to lessen the discomfort and make the biopsy easier to perform.
