NCT ID: NCT03112746 Completed - Clinical trials for Developmental Coordination Disorder

Efficacy of the CO-OP Approach With Brazilian Children With Developmental Coordination Disorder

Start date: March 26, 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) have difficulties performing daily activities which reflects negatively on participation, impacting their lives. To date, there are a number of interventions to improve performance of these children on activities they want or need to. In Brazil, there is little research on the efficacy of such approaches. Our main objective was to start a set of studies to examine the effects of the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance Approach (CO-OP Approach) protocol on occupational performance and satisfaction of Brazilian children who have DCD; to examine whether children were able to transfer strategies and skills learned during CO-OP to untrained goals.

NCT ID: NCT03110302 Completed - Clinical trials for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

In-Home Exposure Therapy for Veterans With Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Start date: October 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study examines clinical and process outcomes following variable length prolonged exposure (PE) for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) delivered by one of three treatment modalities: home-based telehealth (HBT), office-based telehealth (OBT), or in-home-in-person (IHIP).

NCT ID: NCT03107221 Completed - Anorexia Nervosa Clinical Trials

Eating Disorders: Online Self-help & Usual Treatment (TAU) vs TAU Only

Start date: August 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A pilot study exploring whether individuals receiving usual treatment (CBT) from the specialist NHS Tayside Eating Disorders Service and accessing the online self-help "Smart Eating" programme have improved treatment outcomes compared to those receiving usual treatment only. The study will also explore acceptability of the "Smart Eating" self-help programme via a feedback questionnaire.

NCT ID: NCT03107026 Completed - Clinical trials for Binge Eating Disorder

A Study to Evaluate a Drug (Dasotraline) on the Safety, Effectiveness and How Well the Body Tolerates it, in Adults With Moderate to Severe Binge Eating Disorder

Start date: March 31, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A study to evaluate a drug (dasotraline) on the safety, effectiveness and how well the body tolerates it, in adults with moderate to severe binge eating disorder

NCT ID: NCT03102918 Completed - Clinical trials for Cannabis Use Disorder

Cannabidiol Pharmacotherapy for Adults With Cannabis Use Disorder

CBD
Start date: February 20, 2016
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Investigators aim to determine Epidiolex's promise as a pharmacotherapy for cannabis use disorder. Investigators hypothesize that Epidiolex, when added to medical management, will result in greater reductions in marijuana use compared to placebo as measured by the 2 primary outcome measures: 1) quantitative THC levels and 2) self-report by Timeline Follow Back. Secondary outcome measures will include treatment retention, patient satisfaction, cannabis withdrawal, cannabis craving, depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, , compliance, and cigarette use.

NCT ID: NCT03102008 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Unified Protocol for Adolescents (UP-A) Change Processes

Start date: January 12, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this protocol is to employ single case analytic strategies, including a multiple baseline design and novel modeling techniques to identify changes in cross-cutting features of emotional disorders as well as emotional disorder symptoms during the implementation of The Unified Protocol for the Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Adolescents (UP-A). The first aim is to investigate relationships between the use of UP-A treatment components and changes in measures of cross-cutting features of emotional disorders. The second aim is to investigate when and how reductions in symptoms of emotional disorders and presenting problems (i.e., symptoms of anxiety and depression, severity of presenting problems) occur throughout treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03095820 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Multidomain Intervention for Older Adults With Major Depressive Disorder

Start date: March 1, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To assess the effectiveness of a 12-week multidomain intervention with contingency management for reducing depressive symptoms in older adults with major depressive disorder.

NCT ID: NCT03094871 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

FACE-PC: Family-Centered Care for Older Adults With Depression and Chronic Medical Conditions in Primary Care

FACE-PC
Start date: April 1, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Comorbid depression and multiple medical conditions in older adults are a serious public health problem. As an important facilitator of health-related activities, families are already involved in various aspects of self-management of chronic disease in older adults. Despite the benefits they provide, informal caregiving activities currently are organized outside the medical system, which potentially creates redundant or misaligned efforts. The purpose of the mentored research is to examine the feasibility and acceptability of the FACE-PC, a theory-driven, multi- component, technology-assisted interdisciplinary team-based care model that systematically involves family in chronic disease management. It aims to optimize the patient and family's collective ability to self-manage chronic disease.

NCT ID: NCT03088462 Completed - Bipolar Disorder Clinical Trials

LiveWell: A Mobile Intervention for Bipolar Disorder

Start date: March 20, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

LiveWell is a study evaluating the use of smartphones to better understand and improve the treatment of bipolar disorder. Our goal is to increase access to psychosocial interventions and improve their effectiveness in reducing symptoms and preventing mood episodes.

NCT ID: NCT03080831 Completed - Fluid Overload Clinical Trials

TOnicity of Perioperative Maintenance SoluTions

TOPMAST-1
Start date: March 9, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Prospective randomized double blind phase IV trial studying the efficacy and safety of the tonicity of two different perioperative maintenance solutions: an isotonic solution containing NaCl 0.9 in glucose 5% with an added 40 mmol/L of potassium or a commercially available premixed solution (Glucion 5%) containing a.o. 54 mmol/L of sodium and 26 mmol/L of potassium. Both solutions are administered at 27 mL/kg of ideal body weight, as recommended by current guidelines (NICE 174) and both solutions are widely used in daily clinical practice. The primary hypothesis is that isotonic maintenance solutions lead to more fluid retention than hypotonic fluids. Metabolism of both solutions is assessed by sequential analysis of urine and serum and clinical parameters.
