NCT ID: NCT06200519 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Gestational Diabetes

Assessment of Diastolic Function During the Transitional Period and Infancy Using Serial Echocardiography

DiFuSE
Start date: January 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this single-centre longitudinal observational study is to create reference values for diastolic function parameters in neonates born at 35 weeks' gestation or above, and to assess the influence of pre-defined antenatal, intrapartum, maternal, and neonatal factors on cardiac function. The main question it aims to answer are: - What are the normal reference ranges for parameters of diastolic cardiac function in neonates? - How are these influenced by maternal, intrapartum and neonatal factors? - Do the diastolic changes noted during the first two days of life persist into infancy? Participants will have four echocardiographic assessments in total: - Two during the first 48 hours of life (prior to discharge home) - Two during infancy (as an outpatient)

NCT ID: NCT06131008 Not yet recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Diastology-Guided Management of Decompensated Heart Failure

DYNAMIC
Start date: November 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

More than 30% of people hospitalized with decompensated heart failure return to the hospital within 90 days. Emerging evidence suggests that hemodynamic monitoring with guided management may enhance prognosis and management. Hemodynamic monitoring with echocardiography using diastology and an evidence-informed therapeutic protocol have the potential to achieve this aim in a minimally invasive manner.

NCT ID: NCT03887013 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Heart Disease

Cardiac Metabolic Modulator Treatment for Improvement of Diastolic Function in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

Start date: March 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Based on accumulating evidence showing that impaired cardiac energetic metabolism plays important role in the mechanism of cardiac diastolic dysfunction, the study is designed to evaluate whether metabolic modulator treatment with trimetazidine could have beneficial effects on patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) and ventricular diastolic dysfunction. This study is a prospective,randomised,open-label trial to assess the efficacy of trimetazidine treatment in improving diastolic function in CHD patients with diastolic dysfunction.

NCT ID: NCT03196687 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Diastolic Dysfunction

Frequency of Asymptomatic Left Ventricular Diastolic Dysfunction in Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Patients with type 2 DM may develop a cardiomyopathy often called diabetic cardiomyopathy which is characterized by left ventricular diastolic dysfunction in early stages Type 2 DM is associated with various types of subclinical target organ damage resulting in elevated risk of CVD events, moreover there is growing evidence that a prediabetic status, such as impaired fasting glucose is also related to subclinical target organ damage when compared to a group with normal glucose metabolism Diabetes mellitus is a well-studied major risk factor for coronary heart diseases, which is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Another distinct entity of diabetes-related cardiac affection is the diabetic cardiomyopathy. This entity of cardic affection by diabetes still needs more and more attention, not only because it is common in diabetic patients, but also because of its easy detection by the simple, inexpensive and widely available diagnostic echocardiography.

NCT ID: NCT03177408 Not yet recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Impact of HMGB1 on Diastolic Dysfunction in Hypertensive Patients

Start date: August 15, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study evaluated the association between HMGB1 and diastolic dysfunction in hypertensive patients. HMGB1 level were tested in all patients, and diastolic function determined by echocardiographic.

NCT ID: NCT02285309 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Diastolic Dysfunction

Perioperative Measurements of Diastolic Function in Cardiac Surgery

Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This observational clinical trial will investigate the following perioperative indices relating to cardiac surgery: 1. The significance of measurements involving left heart relaxation (LV diastolic function) and its relation to outcome measures. 2. The significance of measurements involving right heart relaxation function and itrs relation to outcome measures. 3. The influence of drugs such as enoximone on these outcome measures.
