There are about 10560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Taiwan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this observational study is to learn about the association between pain characteristics and cognitive functions in chronic knee osteoarthritis. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. If pain characteristics affect cognitive functions in severe knee OA patients? 2. If concentration of neuroinflammation mediators were raised in severe knee OA patients with comparing with control group participants? Participants will receive pain and cognition questionnaire before surgery and their blood and CSF will be collected for further analysis of neuroinflammation mediators.
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness of mobile application self-management program (App) for joint protection and physical activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Intervention group received an app self-management program. The researchers compared the effects of the experimental group and the control group in disease activity, physical functioning, self-efficacy, depression, and self-management behavior.
The purpose of this study is to learn about the safety and effects of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir for the potential treatment of COVID-19 rebound. The study is seeking participants who: - Have completed treatment with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir - Have a rebound in COVID-19 symptoms - Are SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) positive All study medications will be taken 2 times a day by mouth for 5 days. The first dose of study medication is taken at the study clinic and the rest at home. We will examine the experiences of people receiving the study medicines to those who do not. This will help us determine if the study medicines are safe and effective. People taking part will be in this study for about 24 weeks. Enrolled participants will need to visit the study clinic at least 8 times during the study.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of mRNA-1010 in preventing seasonal influenza in adults 50 years and older.
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of virtual reality-based exercise on the intervention and follow-up retention of functional fitness and quality of life among older adults.
This study aimed to explore the effects of an exercise and cognitive training intervention on the physical fitness, fall, and cognitive functions of community-dwelling older adults with dementia. The exercise and cognitive training intervention of this study promoted physical fitness, reduced chance of falling, and improved the cognitive functions of community-dwelling older adults with dementia. In addition, the score of risk of falling reduced.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the Effect of using peanut ball on the length of labor, delivery pattern and childbirth satisfaction for women laboring with an Epidural. This study aims to understand the intervention of using peanut ball in the future during the delivery period is expected.it is expected to reduce the cesarean section with delayed delivery.
Video laryngoscope has become recommended option during difficult intubation. Guidelines of ASA at 2013 had suggested using video laryngoscope after failure intubation of direct laryngoscope. Varieties of video laryngoscope had been invented with different curves. We call the one which has the same curve of Macintosh laryngoscope as conventional video laryngoscope in this study. Mostly, the way of using conventional video laryngoscope is suggested as Macintosh method. However, with the front positioning camera, Miller method can theoretically improve the glottic opening. We intend to discuss whether using Miller approach with conventional video laryngoscope can improve glottic opening or not.
The participants in this study are college students with studying long-term care. After different teaching strategies, the students are hypothesised to improve their caring ability in the future and apply rhythmic muscle training programmes. Therefore, this study will explore the relationship amongst three different teaching strategies of nursing students through multimedia audio-visual, multimedia audio-visual and experiential learning programmes and teachers' personal demonstration and experiential learning, as well as identify their relationship with caring ability.
This study develop a new virtual reality course for home care workers to experience the view of dementia people with BPSD and the relative feelings. After the intervention, the experimental group would completed the several scales of attitude of care, competence of care and empathy, then the factor analysis and correlation analysis were measured. In the first stage, a single group pre and post test study was conducted to extract 10 home caregivers of dementia care from Hondao Senior Citizen's Welfare Foundation. In order to explore the VR course affect the attitude of care, competent of care and empathy towards the dementia people in community, and future career. In the second stage, this study use quasi experimental design. The experimental group (n=65) and the control group (n=65) each have a pre- and post-test design. The experimental group uses virtual reality courses for intervention experience, while the control group does not have intervention. After the two post-tests are completed, then provide the same immersive 3D VR experience as the experimental group. The measurement tools in this study used the Jefferson Empathy Scale (Chinese Version), The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (Chinese Version), and three self-made scales focus on dementia care attitude scale, the dementia care competency scale and the virtual reality course experience scale.
