NCT ID: NCT04935359 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

Study of Efficacy and Safety of NIS793 in Combination With Standard of Care (SOC) Chemotherapy in First-line Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (mPDAC) - daNIS-2

Start date: September 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NIS793 in combination with gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel versus gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel and placebo in first-line metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC). This study aims to explore whether blockade of Transforming Growth Factor β (TGFβ) in combination with gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel can reduce fibrosis in PDAC, restore chemo-sensitivity and ultimately lead to improvements in overall survival (OS) and other clinically relevant outcomes.

Start date: July 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 3b open-label study providing access to berotralstat for HAE patients who were previously enrolled in berotralstat studies.

NCT ID: NCT04846881 Active, not recruiting - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Clinical Trial of Iclepertin Effect on Cognition and Functional Capacity in Schizophrenia (CONNEX-2)

Start date: June 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to adults with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can affect the way a person thinks, their memory and their mental functioning. Examples include struggling to remember things, or to read a book or pay attention to a movie. Some people have difficulty calculating the right change or planning a trip so that they arrive on time. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called Iclepertin improves learning and memory in people with schizophrenia. Participants are put into two groups randomly, which means by chance. One group takes Iclepertin tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like Iclepertin tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take a tablet once a day for 26 weeks. In addition, all participants take their normal medication for schizophrenia. During this time, doctors regularly test learning and memory of the participants by use of questionnaires, interviews, and computer tests. The results of the mental ability tests are compared between the groups. Participants are in the study for about 8 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 15 times and get about 3 phone calls from the study team. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

NCT ID: NCT04824092 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma

Tafasitamab + Lenalidomide + R-CHOP Versus R-CHOP in Newly Diagnosed High-intermediate and High Risk DLBCL Patients

frontMIND
Start date: May 11, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial designed to compare the efficacy and safety of the humanized monoclonal anti CD19 antibody tafasitamab plus lenalidomide in addition to R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) versus R-CHOP in previously untreated, high-intermediate and high-risk patients with newly-diagnosed DLBCL

NCT ID: NCT04821622 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Talazoparib With Enzalutamide in Men With DDR Gene Mutated mCSPC

Start date: May 12, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of talazoparib in combination with enzalutamide compared with placebo in combination with enzalutamide in participants with DDR-deficient mCSPC.

NCT ID: NCT04786873 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Growth Hormone Deficiency

A Research Study of How Well Macimorelin Works to Find Out if Children Have a Lack of Growth Hormone and How Safe it is

DETECT
Start date: November 16, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This research study will find out if a new growth hormone stimulation test is safe and works as well as other tests to diagnose growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in children. The stimulation test will use a new growth hormone stimulating substance called macimorelin. By now, only adults in the USA can get this new stimulation test. The results of this study are expected to help children and teenagers with suspected GHD to get the macimorelin stimulation test. The macimorelin test will be compared to a clonidine and an arginine test. Both are known standard stimulation tests. Altogether two macimorelin tests are planned to be performed in the study, to show how repeatable macimorelin tests results are (under a set of similar conditions).

NCT ID: NCT04777409 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Early Alzheimer´s Disease

A Research Study Investigating Semaglutide in People With Early Alzheimer's Disease (EVOKE Plus)

Start date: May 18, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is done to find out whether the medicine, semaglutide, has a positive effect on early Alzheimer's disease. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo (a "dummy" medicine which does not contain any study medicine) - which treatment participants get is decided by an equal chance. The study will last for up to 173 weeks (about 3 years and 4 months). Participants will have 17 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. The study includes various tests and scans. At 10 of the clinic visits participants will have blood samples taken. Participants must have a study partner, who is willing to take part in the study. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breastfeeding or plan to become pregnant during the study period. A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sub-study will be performed as a part of the study. The sub-study will be performed on a selection of sites based on their experience with CSF sampling and willingness to participate in this sub-study. The endpoints related to this sub-study are exploratory only.
