There are about 1039 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Slovenia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
An observational study in which investigators will observe platelet inhibition in patients on VA ECMO acorrding to treatment with P2Y12 inhibitor.
Interventional study of the effectiveness of peripheral magnetic stimulation of the abdominal wall muscles in healthy individuals.
This is a a single-centre, parallel, randomized controlled trial in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Women are randomized to routine monthly prenatal clinic care (standard care group) or a group sending daily glucose readings via an application installed on a smartphone and monthly individual videoconferences replacing in-person visits (telemedicine group). The overall aim is to compare the effectiveness of the combine synchronous and asynchronous telemedicine care with the standard care in women with GDM.
An interventional study on the effects of repeated trunk flexion exposure on trunk neuromuscular properties.
The purpose of this pre-approval access program is to provide talquetamab for the treatment of participants with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
Interventional study of the effects of a trunk extensor muscles fatigue protocol on trunk extensors stiffness.
Ovarian cancer has the highest mortality rate among all gynecologic cancers, with most patients presenting with advanced stage tumors. About a third of patients do not respond to primary platinum-based chemotherapy treatment, and over time up to 80 % of others develop chemoresistance, rendering recurrent disease incurable. Despite all the studies published in the literature, it has not been proven that the number of cells with expressed ATP7A in certain tumors increases independently of the therapy. In addition, no study has been conducted on a sample of patients with confirmed serous histology of ovarian cancer only. The aim of the study is to demonstrate increased expression of the ATP7A transporter in cells resistant to carboplatin.
Coronary allograft vasculopathy represents one of the major limiting factors of long-term survival in heart transplant recipients. While extensively researched, the underlying mechanisms of coronary allograft vasculopathy (CAV) after heart transplantation remain incompletely understood. As CD34+ cells represent one of the key determinants of coronary vascular homeostasis we investigated the potential association between CAV and CD34+ cell count in heart transplant recipients.
The purpose of the study is to measure and compare the wear rates of retrieved PEI after failed TKA with respect to various causes for revision surgery, implant size, surgical and patient factors as well as to identify a characteristic linear wear distribution pattern of the articular surface in most common causes of TKA failure. Consequently, we want to contribute to a better understanding of wear mechanisms and identify a possible additional factor for increased PEI wear in TKA.
Neuromuscular dysfunction is common in older adults and even more pronounced in neurodegenerative diseases. In Parkinson's disease (PD), a complex set of factors often prevents effective performance of activities of daily living that require intact and simultaneous performance of motor and cognitive tasks. In the current study we aim at employing the Mobile Brain/Body Imaging approach (MoBI) to gain further insides of neuromuscular biomarkers revealing the decrements of older adults with an early PD. The cross-sectional study will be evaluated through the multifactorial mixed-measure design.
