The reason for this study is to see if the study drug LY3471851 (NKTR-358) is safe and effective in adults with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
This is a multicenter long-term extension study designed to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of faricimab administered by intravitreal (IVT) injection at a personalized treatment interval (PTI) to participants who enrolled in and completed one of the two Phase III studies, GR40349 (NCT03622580) or GR40398 (NCT03622593), also referred to as the parent studies.
This research will provide data on thermal condition of medical workers who use personal protective equipment from biological hazards. Aquired data will be used to define acceptable period of use for these protective costumes. This research will recruit 6 volunteers. During 6 hours each subject will perform their work using protective costume. Heart rate, skin and air temperature under costume and hygrometric data will be registered. Also there will be questionnaires for volunteers for subjective assessment of thermal and moisture sensations.
Nutritional therapy implementation in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) have undergone changes recently due to new conditioning regimen and graft versus disease prophylaxis, novel enteral and parenteral nutrition solutions: the value of enteral nutrition is increasing, the indications for parenteral nutrition are becoming more strict. The study aims to identify the role of parenteral nutrition in the context of rapidly changing supportive care approaches in HSCT
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of chest computed tomography (CT) in detecting signs of viral pneumonia has become clear from the literature. However, the increased patient flow creates an additional pressure on CT centers. We believe, the use of chest magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can help to test patients for CОVID-19 when CT scan is not available. Lung MRI may be useful in routing a patient in a difficult epidemiological situation.
This is an observational prospective cohort study to evaluate the clinical course and outcomes of COVID-19 and the underlying disease in patients with hematologic disease (malignant or non-malignant).
The main objective of the study is to evaluate the change in liver copper (Cu) concentration following 48 weeks of treatment with ALXN1840 in adult participants with Wilson Disease (WD) who have been previously treated for at least 1 year with standard of care (that is, trientine, penicillamine, or zinc). In the Treatment Period, efficacy and safety of ALXN1840 will be assessed at Week 48.
Primary objective: • To assess therapeutic efficacy of the Ketoprofen compared with Diclofenac based on the assessment of primary endpoint : Mean change in walking arthritis pain intensity score Secondary objectives: - To assess therapeutic efficacy of the Ketoprofen compared with Diclofenac based on the assessment of secondary endpoints. - To assess safety and tolerability of the Ketoprofen compared with Diclofenac based on the nature and frequency of adverse events in treatment groups
The reason for this study is to see if the study drug baricitinib is effective in hospitalized participants with COVID-19.
This study is open to adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) who are at least 40 years old. People taking standard medicines for IPF, including antifibrotic medicines, can continue taking them throughout the study. The purpose of the study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 can slow down the worsening of lung function. Participants are in the study for about 4 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 7 times. At the beginning, they visit the study site every 2 weeks. After 1 month of treatment, they visit the study site every 4 weeks. The participants are put into 2 groups by chance. 1 group gets BI 1015550. The other group gets placebo. Placebo tablets look like BI 1015550 tablets but contain no medicine. The participants take BI 1015550 or placebo tablets twice a day. The participants have lung function tests at study visits. The results of the lung function tests are compared between the BI 1015550 group and the placebo group. The doctors also regularly check the general health of the participants.
