Prevalence of Skin Sensitization and Dermatitis Among Epoxy-exposed Workers in the Wind Turbine Industry.

The goal of this observational study it to learn about the prevalence of skin sensitization and dermatitis among epoxy-exposed workers in the wind turbine industry. The main question it aims to answer is: - What is the prevalence of skin sensitization and dermatitis among workers in the wind turbine industry who are exposed to epoxy? Participants will be asked to perform Patch Test, which is considered the Gold Standard test for identifying the cause of occupational contact allergic dermatitis. Researchers will compare the results of the epoxy-exposed group with those of a control group comprising non-exposed workers from the same industry. This analysis will help determine if there is a higher prevalence of skin sensitization among workers exposed to epoxy.

A Study to Assess Change in Disease Activity and Adverse Events of Oral Upadacitinib in Adult and Adolescent Participants With Moderate to Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa Who Have Failed Anti-TNF Therapy

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is an inflammatory skin disease that causes painful lesions in the axilla (underarm), inguinal (groin) and anogenital (anal/genital) regions. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating adult and adolescent participants with moderate to severe HS who have failed to respond to or are intolerant of anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapy. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for ulcerative colitis, atopic dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and axial spondylarthritis and is being developed for the treatment of HS. This study is "double-blinded", meaning that neither the trial participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given placebo. This study is comprised of 3 periods. In Period 1, participants are randomized into 2 groups called treatment arms where each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. In Period 2, participants are placed into 6 different groups depending on their placement and results in Period 1. Period 3 is the long-term extension period where participants will continue treatment from Period 2. Approximately 1328 adult and adolescent participants diagnosed with HS will be enrolled in approximately 275 sites worldwide. Participants will receive oral tablets of upadacitinib or placebo once daily for 36 weeks in Period 1 and Period 2. Eligible participants from Period 1 and Period 2 will enter Period 3 and receive oral tablets of upadacitinib or placebo once daily for 68 weeks. Participants will be followed up for approximately 30 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular outpatient visits during the study. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

DAREON™-5: A Study to Test Whether Different Doses of BI 764532 Help People With Small Cell Lung Cancer or Other Neuroendocrine Cancers

This study is open to adults with small cell lung cancer and other neuroendocrine tumours. The study is in people with advanced cancer for whom previous treatment was not successful or no standard treatment exists. The purpose of this study is to find a suitable dose of BI 764532 that people with advanced cancer can tolerate when taken alone. 2 different doses of BI 764532 are tested in this study. Another purpose is to check whether BI 764532 can make tumours shrink. BI 764532 is an antibody-like molecule (DLL3/CD3 bispecific) that may help the immune system fight cancer. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. One group gets dose 1 of BI 764532 and the other group gets dose 2 of BI 764532. Participants get BI 764532 infusions into a vein when starting treatment. If there is benefit for the participants and if they can tolerate it, the treatment is given up to the maximum duration of the study. During this time, participants visit the study site regularly. The total number of visits depends on how they respond to and tolerate the treatment. The first study visits include an over-night stay to monitor participants' safety. Doctors record any unwanted effects and regularly check the general health of the participants.

This study aims to provide psychological support to women that experienced an Early Pregnancy Loss (when the loss occurs until the 20 weeks of gestation) using an innovative Virtual Reality prototype and compare the presence and evolution of psychological distress symptoms pre and post-intervention. The main goals of this study are: 1. Evaluate the impact of the proposed VR paradigm in women who suffered a gestational loss in the first 20 weeks of gestation, compared to a control group that follows the usual standard care; 2. Evaluate the usability, user experience, and acceptance of the proposed approach. Participants in the VR group will have an intervention program lasting four weeks, with 3 weekly sessions of 45-60 minutes, using the developed prototype.

Promoting Physical Activity in Breast Cancer Survivors on Aromatase Inhibitors

Aromatase inhibitors (AI) are frequently used to treat hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer, but they have multiple adverse effects (eg, arthralgia), resulting in premature therapy discontinuation/switch. Physical activity (PA) can attenuate these negative effects and improve quality of life (QoL). However, most cancer survivors fail to perform/sustain adequate PA levels, especially in the long-term. Theory-based interventions, using evidence-based behavior change techniques, aimed at promoting long-term behavior change in breast cancer survivors are effective, but remain scarce and fail to promote self-regulatory skills and better-quality motivations associated with sustained PA adoption. PAC-WOMAN will test the long-term effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of two state of the art, group-based interventions encouraging sustained changes in PA, sedentary behavior, and QoL. Additional aims include examining the impact of both interventions on secondary outcomes (eg, body composition, physical function), and key moderators/mediators of short and long-term changes in primary outcomes. A 3-arm pragmatic randomized controlled trial, involving a 4-month intervention and a 12-month follow-up, will be implemented, in a real exercise setting, to compare: 1) brief PA counseling/motivational intervention; 2) structured exercise program vs. waiting-list control group. Study recruitment goal is 122 hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer survivors (stage I-III), on AI therapy (post-primary treatment completion) ≥1 month, performance status 0-1. Outcome measures will be obtained at baseline, 4 months (i.e., post-intervention), 10 and 16 months. Process evaluation, analyzing implementation determinants, will also be conducted. PAC-WOMAN is expected to have a relevant impact on participants PA and QoL, and on the improvement of interventions designed to promote sustained adherence to active lifestyle behaviors, facilitating its translation to community settings.
