NCT ID: NCT00856661 Terminated - Stroke Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety Study of Desmoteplase to Treat Acute Ischemic Stroke (DIAS-4)

Start date: April 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine whether desmoteplase is effective and safe in the treatment of patients with acute ischaemic stroke when given within 3 to 9 hours from onset of stroke symptoms.

NCT ID: NCT00849667 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Farletuzumab (MORAb-003) in Combination With Carboplatin and Taxane in Participants With Platinum-sensitive Ovarian Cancer in First Relapse

Start date: April 16, 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This research is being done to find out if Carboplatin and Taxane works better alone or when given with an experimental drug called MORAb-003(farletuzumab) in subjects with first platinum sensitive relapsed ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00844662 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Failure

Phase III Study to Investigate the Safety and Efficacy of Fermagate and Sevelamer Hydrochloride

Start date: July 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Magnesium iron hydroxycarbonate is a phosphate binder that absorbs phosphate from food, reducing the amount that the body can absorb. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of magnesium iron hydroxycarbonate in subjects requiring haemodialysis, compared with a marketed phosphate binder, sevelamer hydrochloride.

NCT ID: NCT00832507 Terminated - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Study of Cicletanine for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)

Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, dose-ranging study will compare the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of cicletanine hydrochloride (HCl) to placebo in subjects with PAH. Study drug will be administered alone, or on the background of stable PAH therapy. The study will consist of 3 periods: a screening period, a 12-week placebo-controlled treatment period, and a long-term, blinded extension period.

NCT ID: NCT00831441 Terminated - Clinical trials for Acute Coronary Syndrome

Phase III Acute Coronary Syndrome

APPRAISE-2
Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if apixaban is superior to placebo for preventing cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, or ischemic stroke in subjects with a recent acute coronary syndrome

NCT ID: NCT00827008 Terminated - Subjective Tinnitus Clinical Trials

Open-Label, Long-Term Treatment Study, to Assess the Long-Term Safety and Tolerability and Efficacy of Neramexane in Patients With Subjective Tinnitus

OLLTT
Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the long-term safety and tolerability and efficacy of neramexane mesylate in the long-term treatment of subjective tinnitus after a completed double-blind randomized placebo controlled study

NCT ID: NCT00811018 Terminated - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

A Long-Term, Open-Label Study to Evaluate the Safety of Sitaxsentan Sodium Treatment in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

STRIDE-3
Start date: March 2003
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, open-label study of sitaxsentan sodium 100 mg taken orally once daily by subjects with PAH until sitaxsentan, in a particular country or region, is commercially available for the treatment of PAH or the study is closed.

NCT ID: NCT00809354 Terminated - Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Long-Term Analgesic Efficacy And Safety Of Tanezumab Alone Or In Combination With Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Versus NSAIDs Alone In Patients With Osteoarthritis Of The Knee Or Hip

Start date: February 12, 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the long-term analgesic efficacy and safety of tanezumab for patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee or hip currently experiencing partial benefit from, and are tolerating, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy.

Open-Label, Multicenter Extension Study for Patients Completing Treatment Phase of a Rigel-Sponsored R935788 Studies

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this new research study is to gain additional information about how safe and effective R935788 is over a longer period of time.

NCT ID: NCT00804323 Terminated - Open-Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

PASCAL Trabeculoplasty

Start date: December 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) with 100 ms pulses is an effective therapy for lowering intraocular pressure (IOP). Similar reductions in IOP have been achieved using ns (SLT) and microsecond (MLT) pulses, which produce less thermal damage to trabecular meshwork (TM). Lack of clinically visible changes may make the accurate alignment of subsequent pulses difficult. We describe a novel technique - Patterned Laser Trabeculoplasty (PLT) using the PASCAL Photocoagulator system, and its preliminary evaluation in patients with open angle glaucoma.
