NCT ID: NCT04524949 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 1

IMCY-0098 Proof of ACtion in Type 1 Diabetes (IMPACT Study)

IMPACT
Start date: December 29, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The IMPACT study is a study to test a new experimental drug, IMCY-0098, for the treatment of type 1 diabetes (T1D). In most people with type 1 diabetes, the pancreas loses its ability to make insulin because some cells of the body's own immune system mistakenly attack and destroy the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin (islet beta-cells). The study drug IMCY-0098 is being developed to stop the body's own immune system attacking and destroying the insulin-producing cells. When injected, it will induce new immune cells that will specifically destroy the bad immune cells responsible for the damage to the pancreas. IMCY-0098 has previously been tested on recently diagnosed type 1 diabetes patients in the first clinical study between 2017 and 2019 to collect information on the safety of IMCY-0098. The next step is to test the best dose and the best number of injections that show the drug can give a benefit. Two doses of IMCY-0098 will be tested and they will be compared to a placebo. Safety information will also be collected during the study for all the participants.

NCT ID: NCT04521361 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Bone Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer

A Study to Assess How Radium-223 Distributes in the Body of Patients With Prostate Cancer Which Spread to the Bones

Start date: November 16, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

In this study researcher want to gain more information on how the study drug (radium-223) is distributed in the bone, particularly in the tumor free bone in participants with prostate cancer. The study plans to enroll 60 patients with the age of at least 18 years and suffering from prostate cancer which has spread to the bones. Researcher will divide the study participants into 2 groups. Patients in Group 1 should have up to 6 bone metastases and patients for group 2 should have more than 6 bone metastases. The study medication will be given as injection into a vein every 4 weeks up to a maximum of 6 times. To study how radium distributes in the body and particularly in the bones, participants will undergo after study medication intake MRI or CT Scans (imaging techniques).

NCT ID: NCT04498715 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Trochanteric Fracture of Femur

Trochanteric Femur Fracture Operated With Dynamic Hip Screw System (DHS) Augmented With a Biphasic Apatite Sulphate Combined With Systemic or Local Bisphosphonate

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to study the process of bone regeneration around a metal device in the femoral neck canal using a synthetic bone substitute Cerament bone void filler (BVF) and bisphosphonate (Zometa) locally or systemically that affects bone metabolism. Furthermore, fracture healing and implant migration will be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT04464876 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Mitral Regurgitation

SATURN Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement for Functional Mitral Regurgitation

Start date: August 19, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a prospective, single-arm, multi-center feasibility clinical study of the SATURN TA System for the treatment of NYHA Class ≥ II patients with severe functional mitral regurgitation who are not suitable for surgical treatment following Heart Team assessment.

NCT ID: NCT04456673 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Pivotal Study to Assess the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of Dupilumab in Patients With Moderate to Severe COPD With Type 2 Inflammation

NOTUS
Start date: July 6, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of dupilumab administered every 2 weeks in patients with moderate or severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) as measured by - Annualized rate of acute moderate or severe COPD exacerbation (AECOPD) Secondary Objectives: To evaluate the effect of dupilumab administered every 2 weeks on - Pre-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) over 12 weeks compared to placebo - Health related quality of life, assessed by the change from baseline to Week 52 in the St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) - Pre-bronchodilator FEV1 over 52 weeks compared to placebo - Lung function assessments - Moderate and severe COPD exacerbations - To evaluate safety and tolerability - To evaluate dupilumab systemic exposure and incidence of antidrug antibodies (ADA)

NCT ID: NCT04435626 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Efficacy (Effect on Disease) and Safety of Finerenone on Morbidity (Events Indicating Disease Worsening) & Mortality (Death Rate) in Participants With Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (Proportion of Blood Expelled Per Heart Stroke) Greater or Equal to 40%

FINEARTS-HF
Start date: September 14, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of finerenone compared to placebo (a tablet without active substance) in the reduction of cardiovascular death (generally meaning death due to disease of the heart or blood vessels) and total Heart Failure (HF) events, including HF hospitalization and urgent visits for HF(generally meaning a hospital stay or urgent presentation to a healthcare unit due to worsening symptoms of heart failure) in patients suffering from HF with an ejection fraction greater than or equal to 40%. Researchers will also collect information on how much the heart disease has impact on patient's lives, change of kidney function, and how well finerenone treatment is tolerated. The study plans to enroll 6000 male and female patients of the age of 40 years and above suffering from heart failure with ejection fraction greater than or equal to 40%. Participants will take the study product as oral tablet with a dose between 0 (Placebo) 40 mg once daily. Study duration will be up to 43 months.

NCT ID: NCT04423718 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Study of the Effects of High Dose Aflibercept Injected Into the Eye of Patients With an Age-related Disorder That Causes Loss of Vision Due to Growth of Abnormal Blood Vessels at the Back of the Eye

PULSAR
Start date: August 11, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In this study researchers want to learn more about changes in visual acuity (clarity of vision) with a high dose treatment with Aflibercept (Eylea) in patients suffering from neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). Neovascular AMD is an eye disease that causes blurred vision or a blind spot due to abnormal blood vessels that leak fluid or blood into the light sensitive lining inside the eye (retina). The fluid buildup causes the central part of the retina (macula) responsible for sharp, straight-ahead vision to swell and thicken (edema), which distorts vision.
