There are about 483 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Jordan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Arginase has recently been implicated in an array of vascular conditions including atherosclerosis , hypertension and vascular complication of diabetes. In this study we will determine of L-citrulline; a natural amino acid that is known to have inhibitory effects on arginase activity, on vascular function in type 2 diabetic patients.
Allogenic platelet lysate will be injected in the gastrocnemius of patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
Study is an interventional clinical trial. Pregnant women (aged 25-40 years) diagnosed with GDM (by a 75-g oral glucose tolerance test at 24-28 weeks' gestation) will be recruited conveniently from Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic at the Jordan University Hospital and National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics, Amman, Jordan. A sample of 180 pregnant women with GDM (60 women who do not use insulin and hypoglycemia medications, 60 women who are treated with metformin, 60 women who are treated with insulin), who will meet the inclusion criteria and will be agreed to participate will be centrally randomized to follow carbohydrate counting dietary intervention, carbohydrate counting and DASH dietary intervention, and control dietary intervention.
Until now, there is no effective approach to stop the progression of multiple sclerosis and stimulate re-myelination. Autologous stem cell transplantation shows hope and is quickly developing as an alternative therapy. We propose the use of autologous bone marrow-derived specific stem cell populations and mesenchymal stem cell transplantation (BM-MSC) associated with immuno-modulation to treat patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS).
This study is single arm, single center trial to study the safety and efficacy of bone marrow-derived autologous specific populations of stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
Patients qualified for this study are those diagnosed with ABCs and failed to be treated with other forms of classical therapies. In which, these patients will be engrafted with biodegradable scaffolds seeded with Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) supplemented with Platelet lysate.
Allogenic defibrinated platelet rich plasma lysate will be injected in patients diagnosed with Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU).
Adipose tissue derived Mesenchymal Stem cells (ATMSC) will be injected in patients diagnosed with Knee osteoarthrosis
Wharton Jelly derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (WJMSC) will be injected in patients diagnosed with Knee osteoarthrosis
Allogenic adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells will be injected into patients newly diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
