There are about 1447 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Croatia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of an engineered cartilage transplant (N-TEC) in comparison to a cell-activated matrix (N-CAM) for the treatment of articular cartilage lesions in the knee. The main innovations in this trial are the use of nasal chondrocytes and the implantation of a tissue in contrast to cells seeded on a matrix. The goals of the trial are to: (i) evaluate whether implantation of a more mature graft (tissue therapy) is beneficial for the quality and durability of the repair tissue and the clinical outcome, (ii)determine the potential of the mature graft to integrate with the adjacent cartilage and form hyaline repair tissue and (iii) assess the efficacy of each treatment in correlation to the characteristics of the defect (e.g. "acute" versus "chronic" setting).
This study is designed to prospectively confirm the efficacy of a fixed-dose regimen of cariprazine 1.5 milligrams (mg)/day or 3 mg/day compared to placebo for treatment of the depressive episode in participants with bipolar I disorder. The safety and tolerability of the fixed-dose regimens will be evaluated.
Quizartinib is an experimental drug. It is not approved for regular use. It can only be used in medical research. Adults might be able to join this study after bone marrow tests show they have a certain kind of blood cancer (FLT3-ITD AML). Participants will have an equal chance of receiving quizartinib or placebo along with their chemotherapy.
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to investigate efficacy and safety of semaglutide versus dulaglutide as add-on to metformin in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the long term efficacy and safety of intravitreal ranibizumab compared with laser ablation therapy in patients who were treated for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in the core study CRFB002H2301 (NCT02375971)
This study is to document the time spent by health care personnel on anemia-related tasks, including preparation, distribution and administration of monopegylated epoetin beta (Mircera) or other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) in patients with end stage renal disease in hemodialysis centers in Croatia. The total average time will be determined for the same number of patients on monopegylated epoetin beta and patients on other ESAs. In addition, qualitative information will be obtained on changes in practice patterns that may have occurred with the introduction of monopegylated epoetin beta.
The aim of the study is to demonstrate the high level of biosimilarity between MabionCD20 (MABION SA) and the reference product: MabThera (rituximab by Hoffman-La Roche) in patients with CD20-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of vedolizumab subcutaneous (vedolizumab SC) maintenance treatment on clinical remission at Week 52 in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) who achieved clinical response following administration of vedolizumab intravenous (vedolizumab IV) induction therapy.
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind study of the efficacy and safety of iclaprim compared to vancomycin for the treatment of skin and skin structure infections.
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of QVA149 (110/50 μg o.d.) vs tiotropium (18 µg o.d.) + salmeterol/fluticasone propionate FDC (50/500 µg b.i.d.) in patients with moderate to severe COPD
