There are about 4372 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Greece. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study evaluated disease control during different lengths of treatment transition from natalizumab to fingolimod.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether AMG 386 or AMG 386 Placebo in combination with Paclitaxel and Carboplatin are effective in the treatment of ovarian cancer.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety of pomaglumetad methionil in participants with schizophrenia.
Based on recent two-center results (Eur Respir J. 2011 Sep 1. [Epub ahead of print] PMID: 21885390) we hypothesized that intermittent High-frequency oscillation (HFO) combined with Recruitment Maneuvers (RMs) may beneficially affect the pathophysiology and survival of patients with moderate-to-severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Design: Randomized Controlled Trial. Intervention: Briefly, the HFO-RMs strategy of the intervention (HFO-RMs) group will comprise RMs (3/day) and an initial HFO session of 96 hours (HFO session can be interrupted before the 96-hour time point only if PaO2/FiO2 rises to >200 mmHg for >12 hours), followed by return to lung protective conventional mechanical ventilation (CMV) according to pre-specified oxygenation criteria. Within days 1-10 postrandomization, patients will be returned to HFO upon recurrence of their moderate-to-severe oxygenation disturbance. Patients of the control (CMV) group will receive lung protective CMV.
The DUAL-2 study is designed as a multicenter, double-blind two-period study with an initial fixed 16-week Period 1, followed by a Period 2 of variable duration. All patients completing Period 1 will continue on their original randomized treatment into Period 2, until the last randomized patient has completed Period 1. Patients will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio (macitentan 3mg: macitentan 10mg: placebo). The primary objective is to demonstrate the effect of macitentan on the reduction of the number of new digital ulcers in patients with systemic sclerosis and ongoing digital ulcers (DU). Other objectives include: - the evaluation of the efficacy of macitentan on hand functionality and DU burden at Week 16 in SSc patients with ongoing DU disease. - the evaluation of the safety and tolerability of macitentan in these patients. - the evaluation of the efficacy of macitentan on time to first DU complication during the entire treatment period.
The primary efficacy endpoint of this interventional study was to evaluate the number of patients achieving a complete response (CR), defined as patients switching from intensive deferasirox -DFO treatment, at any time point during the 24 months of study, to deferasirox monotherapy based on improvement in the cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T2* value to >10ms, and continue to maintain their MRI T2* to values >10 msec.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of AeriSeal System treatment plus optimal medical therapy compared in patients with advanced upper lobe predominant (ULP) heterogeneous emphysema.
This is a clinical study to investigate how well Biostate works in treatment of male patients below the age of 12 years who have a clotting factor deficiency that is aggravated by the development of antibodies. The antibodies are directed against the clotting factor that is given for replacement therapy and usually make therapy unsuccessful. The treatment used in this study is called immune tolerance therapy.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate overall survival in patients diagnosed with hepatocellular cancer (HCC) treated with HepaSphere/QuadraSphere Microspheres loaded with chemotherapeutic agent doxorubicin compared to conventional transarterial chemoembolization with particle PVA, lipiodol, and doxorubicin.
This study is being conducted to evaluate the safety, efficacy (clinical and microbiological), pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of GSK2251052 and to assess whether it would be a suitable antibiotic for the treatment for febrile lower cUTI and pyelonephritis(complicated and uncomplicated). GSK2251052 will be compared to imipenem-cilastatin, which is an antibiotic commonly used to treat serious cUTI infections. GSK2251052 has a spectrum of microbiological activity that includes pathogens responsible for cUTI.
